Komandoo Island Resort & Spa

The most beautiful, quiet, tranquil island. First visit, definitely won’t be the last. The turtles , stingrays , dolphins, fish, crabs, mini sharks are the most amazing site. We were so happy to see that there were no motorised items around the island. Everything moved around manually and by manpower. The food in the main restaurant is amazing, the theme menus each night had such an amazing selection of food. So fresh and delicious. Our two visits to Aqua were very nice. The food and setting were very special. Naren, Rathis , Yoosuf and Hamdhan were all very welcoming and so polite. It was lovely going into places and being personally acknowledged by the above staff and many more which I can’t remember names. Yoosuf made my husband’s birthday meal special too and the cake was delicious

We have just had the most wonderful holiday in Komandoo. Really lovely welcome from the team with a show round the resort en route to our water villa from Yousef. The helpfulness and care the team members showed us was so nice. Our water villa was idyllic and spent time on our deck just looking out to sea and relaxing. The food and beverage offerings were excellent and the team were really friendly and welcoming. Very small island which you can easily walk around. Whilst we didn’t partake in diving, lots of people were commenting on how good the house reef was. We had a very special dining experience at Komandoo’s sister hotel’s 5.8 underwater restaurant, which was amazing! The food and ambiance were exceptional. Whilst very pricey, if you can afford it you should try this once in a lifetime experience. Left the island today feeling very relaxed.

Hard to rate this anything other than perfect. Welcome was lovely, food was incredible, host (Rathis) was attentive and helpful, accommodation was spotless daily. All staff were polite friendly and helpful. The spa ladies were magical. The breakfast/lunch/dinner servers were all polite and friendly and tended to stick to the same guests which made each day feel more friendly/familiar. If was being fussy (and I really have to think) it would be nice to have an ice box style fridge in the room to go with the drinks. And also advertise booking restaurants early as the 2 weeks I was there both glass-bottom and underwater restaurants were fully booked. Weather wise being the end of rain season there was a spectacular thunder storm on the second night and one day of on off rain towards the end but the temperature didn’t drop below 28 - even at night…. Which was my main reason for going. Gym was basic and water sports cabin seemed to have all bases covered for people going for that, which wasn’t me. I purely went to disconnect, switch off, and enjoy the weather and surroundings. Will be going back.

Hi, me and my partner Kuldip visited Kommando, for 10 nights in September 2026. This was not our 1st visit, but the 10th. This shows how much we love this amazing island. The manager, Mudha, just left the resort on vacation when we got there, but sorted out our room, and welcomed our return, thank you so much for all you did. The acting manager Niru was, in every way possible an asset in Mudha’s absent, looked after us during our stay, went over and above, so thankful to him, in making our stay comfortable, and most of all memorable, we will defiantly be returning. The staff Bishan, Food and beverage manager, Samwar, Suraj, Santosh, Biji and Asitha, at the bar, where so welcoming, always know what we want to drink, we above and beyond. These champions are great asset. Our waiter, Haneef, was great, always there, with our drinks, which he know very well, was ready for us. Thank you so much. Also to Riza. We like to thank, Dr Hirien on the island, went over and beyond. Thank you again, for your support in making our holiday enjoyable. Thank you to the cooks/Chefs, Kumar, Naren, and Alex for the delicious food, perfect as usual. The watchman Padam, that dose such long hours, on keeping a watchful eye on anyone approaching the island, re security, Thank you. The front office staff are always there to support or assist in any way, thank you to Rajesh. I keep stating ‘Thank you’, we mean it from our hearts. Your kindness, empathy, respect, and professionalism. This is what draws returners back to Kommando. Like a home to us, and I thank all the champions, for all there hospitality to top class. We will defiantly will return again.

Not long returned from our second stay at this beautiful island. There’s absolutely nothing that we would change, it’s just right as it is. If you’re looking for wild partying, loud entertainment and high adrenaline activity, this is not the place for you. If you want a beautiful island, with amazing staff, excellent food and drink and the opportunity to relax and recharge your batteries, this is the right place. Hari looked after our room beautifully for us, and added some lovely towel art, as well as being a genuinely nice person. Moosa ensured we were fed and watered in the restaurant and had our drinks ready almost as we arrived. And also presented me with a lovely handbag that he had made with fronds. Aqua, the overwater restaurant is definitely worth a visit, with a beautiful setting and some exceptional food. If you fancy something a bit different a visit to 5.8, the undersea restaurant on a nearby island, is well worth it, and can be arranged via the app or on the island. We have found somewhere we feel is special and have already booked for next year!

First visit but won’t be our last. Stayed in Eagle Ray 7, big villa, toiletries, coffee, tea and milk. Good mini bar and snacks too. Room attendant Phisor was fabulous, great attention to detail, nice guy. Often leave us a few extra snacks at night. Great outdoor space with table/chairs, sun lounges and a huge day bed. Food and drinks were great, I’m a picky eater but always found plenty to eat. Our waiter was Yusuf, head waiter, so nice and such a jolly chap, really looked after us. You must try the naan breads at dinner, marvellous, so tasty. My favourite was the tuna which was cooked while you waited, infact, lots of food was cooked from fresh. Like also that you could make your own health drink in the morning, lots of fruit/veg to use. Snorkelling is amazing, saw lots of turtles, sting rays and all kinds of colourful fish. Most days we saw dolphins , so cool. Liked the gym too. The island is very pretty and very fragrant too. But what makes this island so special are the people. So kind, funny and nothing is too much trouble. I honestly cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I stayed at Komandoo Resort from 19th July to 31st July for our honeymoon, and honestly, we had the most amazing time. It was everything we could have hoped for and, in all honesty, even better than we ever could have imagined. From the moment we arrived, we received the most lovely welcome and immediately felt so relaxed and looked after. Our Premium Jacuzzi Beachfront Villa was absolutely perfect. We stayed in Manta 1, and the location, views and villa itself were everything we could have wished for for our honeymoon. Every single member of staff we met was so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the service throughout our stay was truly exceptional. The food was also fantastic. We thought the quality was brilliant, there was so much choice and everything we ate was delicious. The chefs deserve a huge amount of credit for the amazing food they produced throughout our stay. I especially wanted to give a special shout-out to a few members of the team who really made our stay extra special: Asim in the restaurant – our waiter who was genuinely 5-star! He looked after us so well and was always so friendly and attentive. It was honestly lovely seeing him every morning at breakfast and again at lunch. He made us feel so welcome and always went above and beyond. Asitha & Vipin in the bar – these two were always so friendly, funny and welcoming. They made us feel completely comfortable and gave us such amazing service throughout our stay. We always looked forward to seeing them! Ishan, our room cleaner – he was absolutely amazing. Our room was always beautifully looked after, and we really appreciated all his hard work during our stay. We honestly cannot thank the whole team at Komandoo enough for making our honeymoon so incredibly special. The island is beautiful, but it was the wonderful staff and the incredible service that really made the experience unforgettable. We arrived as guests celebrating our honeymoon and left with so many amazing memories that we will treasure forever. We genuinely didn't want to leave! We would 100% recommend Komandoo to anyone looking for a truly special Maldives experience, and we would absolutely love to return one day. ❤️☀️ One little question: if anyone from the hotel happens to see this, could you please let me know the brand/type of pillows used in Manta 1, and also the brand/type of bed sheets? The bed was honestly like sleeping on a cloud! It was the most comfortable bed and bedding we have ever slept on, and I would absolutely love to recreate that feeling at home. Thank you again to everyone at Komandoo for giving us the most incredible honeymoon. We will never forget it! ❤️

We had a bungalow on the beach, could not fault this, right on the sea edge with the reef is easy swimming distance. Only down side is that the reef is still growing but still plenty to see with the added bonus of the local turtles. Staff were lovely and Madha the manager went above and beyond to be helpful. Fully enjoyed our relaxing two week stay.

Thanks to all the staff at Komandoo for making our 11th visit very special. As usual the sea life was superb, turtle count best we've ever seen. Food and drink very special as always
