Honestly, for a hotel on a mountaintop, there's absolutely nothing to complain about! Northern Sea Hotel has been recently renovated, so all the facilities are brand new, and the service is top-notch. There's no dampness in the room at all, the provided down jackets are very thick, there's underfloor heating throughout, and the bedding is super comfortable. The room isn't huge, but the layout is incredibly clever, and I love the design style. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style. While not cheap, the variety of dishes for both meals is quite extensive. The taste is just average, but considering we're on a mountaintop, everything is forgivable. For watching the sunset and sunrise, there's a butler who leads guests. They send daily updates via WeChat about the sunrise and sunset times and meeting points, which is very convenient. The closest spot for sunrise from here is 'Monkey Watching the Sea,' and honestly, trudging there at 4 AM was a bit tiring 😝😝😝. The only minor thing was when I asked the front desk for three bottles of water on my second day, they said they could only provide two for free and the third would be charged. I thought about it and understood, as getting supplies up the mountain isn't easy. All in all, the experience was fantastic, and if I ever come back, I'd definitely choose this place again! 🥰🥰🥰

The hotel's location is superb, right next to Shixin Peak and Monkey Watching the Sea, both popular spots in Huangshan for watching sunrise, sunset, and cloud seas. It's incredibly convenient, as you can walk to both. The hotel has just been renovated, and the overall decor is exquisite and tasteful. Although the rooms are a bit small, they are fully equipped and comfortable to stay in. The service is truly commendable. The staff are very responsive and handle any requests promptly. They even arrange for a butler to take you to watch the sunrise and sunset, which made for a fantastic experience. The only slight drawback is that the room TV doesn't support screen mirroring, which limited entertainment options in the evenings. Overall, while the price isn't cheap, the location, service, and overall experience are well worth it. Highly recommended.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Yungu Cable Car and Monkey Watching the Sea. Dream Pen Blossoms is just a few steps away. The restaurant offers a good variety of dishes for a hotel on the mountain. The evening activities arranged by the hotel were also very enjoyable.

Facilities: The hotel is very new, having been renovated in 2025, so the amenities are excellent. They even provide winter coats for guests who want to watch the sunrise. There's a spa, but it's a bit pricey, probably because of its mountaintop location – depends on your personal needs. However, the rooms do have an automatic foot and leg massager, which is great for a quick relaxation. Dining: The buffet dinner for 198 (local currency) is, in my opinion, well worth the price. A big shoutout to the staff who worked hard to bring out all the food. Ambiance: Top-notch. Both inside and outside the hotel are beautiful. You can even see the sunrise not far from the hotel. The hotel lobby was elegantly decorated, refined, and upscale, especially with the tasteful placement of the flower arrangements. Check-in was swift, and I was even offered tea. Afterwards, a staff member escorted us to our room and explained everything. The room was equipped with clean, warm, hard-shell down jackets and a flashlight. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation, and the bedding was comfortable and tidy – overall, impeccable. When checking in, I also added the butler on WeChat, and they were very responsive, even late at night. In the morning, a dedicated staff member led a group to watch the sunrise. The butler also sent daily weather updates, including the temperature, detailed sunrise times, probability of seeing the sunrise, wind speed, and the likelihood of a sea of clouds – incredibly detailed, which made for a fantastic experience! At 7 AM, there were even NPC interactions in the hotel lobby, where simple mini-games could win you a small horse blind box or Huizhou refrigerator magnet, both very exquisite. The buffet offered a rich selection of food, though the lamb chops seemed a bit cold; I hope that can be improved. After we left, the butler also offered a thoughtful farewell. The hotel's unique selling point is its convenient location for watching both sunrise and sunset. Although heavy fog prevented us from seeing the sunrise this time, the sunset view, combined with the classic architecture and the birds continuously circling above the hotel, truly embodied 'the evening glow and a lonely wild duck flying together,' leaving me enchanted and wanting to linger. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the accommodation at first, simply because it's a mountaintop hotel. I just wanted a convenient place to stay for one night to make hiking easier. But the meticulous service at Beihai Hotel has actually made me want to come back again! 😘 From the moment the butler escorted us to our room, to arranging the incense-making experience, then thoughtfully advising us on various hiking routes, and proactively reminding us of breakfast and dinner times, they constantly kept an eye on weather changes for us. Regarding room types, for a family of three, I personally think a standard double bed is sufficient. Of course, if price isn't an issue, that's a different story, as the room sizes are all pretty similar. Although the rooms are small, the beds can be pushed together to form a 2.2-meter bed, which is more than enough to relieve a day's fatigue, especially since you don't spend much time in the room anyway. I highly recommend getting the buffet breakfast and dinner package! 😂 It's incredibly satisfying to eat and drink well after a hike! (But please don't waste food!) If you're staying at Beihai, definitely, definitely ascend from Yun Valley. It's about a 30-minute walk to the hotel. After dropping off your belongings, you can head straight to the West Sea Grand Canyon. We departed at 2:40 PM and reached the bottom of the valley at 4:40 PM. Then we took the small train up (the last small train departs at 5:00 PM, and staff finish at 5:30 PM; if you're lucky, you might catch their last staff train back). By 6:00 PM, we were already having dinner. Our fitness level might be a bit better than average, so everyone should plan their time accordingly. On the second day, you can catch the sunrise. After catching up on sleep, descend from Yuping. This way, you'll have experienced pretty much everything.
