Gongjin Lianri Ecological Cave Hotel (Daocheng Yading Branch)

I wouldn't even give this place one star. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in, even worse than the ones in Lugu Lake, Shangri-La, and Deqin. I suspect the ratings are fake. The room has absolutely no ventilation. I've stayed in places with higher altitudes than this, but in this room, I experienced altitude sickness and lack of oxygen. As soon as I stepped out of the hotel, I felt fine. I called the front desk, and they said there was no air conditioning. The ventilation was terrible, and the fan was useless. I hiked the Jin Gang Line without any altitude sickness, but after two nights in this hotel, I woke up dizzy, and so did my companions. If you're planning to hike Yading, definitely do not stay at this hotel. You'll feel sick and won't be able to enjoy anything. It was a terrible experience. The breakfast was awful and only served from 6:40 AM to 8:40 AM. My blood oxygen and heart rate were lower after waking up in the hotel than they were at an altitude of 4900 meters! I was clearly unwell.

The Daocheng Gong Jinlian Cave Hotel has a strong ******* character. The rooms are clean and warm, and the front desk staff are enthusiastic, offering thoughtful reminders about high-altitude precautions. The location is convenient, and it even has a yak hot pot restaurant. It's the top choice for exploring Yading.

The location is easy to find, and the lobby has a very unique design. The room was clean and I slept really well, which is a big deal since I haven't been sleeping well at all in the high-altitude places I've stayed along the way. It's also not far from the Daocheng Yading scenic area. The hotel has parking and oxygen concentrators available for rent. The decor is quite unique and it's relatively quiet.

The hotel lobby offers complimentary Rhodiola tea. The room was clean and tidy, and I appreciated the disposable towels and bath towels. I saw some reviews mentioning poor soundproofing and noise at night, but honestly, it quieted down pretty much by 9:30 PM. Breakfast starts at 7 AM, though it would be even better if it started earlier.
