Asiam International Hotel Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongya Cave

We chose this hotel out of the many hotels in Chongqing, and we have no regrets staying here. The distance from the train station is about 40 minutes by Didi. To enter the hotel lobby, if you have a lot of luggage it's no problem—there’s a path that goes around so you don’t have to go up the stairs. Upon entering the lobby, there are several receptionists, and you should go to the one on the left. The check-in process was fast, and we were able to go straight to our room. The room looked exactly like the photos. It came with a washing machine, oven, microwave, stove, sink, sofa, and bathtub. However, we didn’t use all the facilities—especially the bathtub, which seemed like it hadn’t been used for a long time, because when we tried to use it, the water came out a bit dirty. The toilet was complete with a bidet, and the shower was excellent, with additional side sprays that were great for massaging the back and shoulders. There was also a dryer for socks and underwear. The room had two double beds—one outside next to the sofa and one inside the bedroom. The receptionists were very quick in responding to our concerns, and we were very satisfied with their service. The breakfast selection was also very diverse, and everything tasted delicious. The location is very strategic, not far from Jiefangbei—just one block from the hotel. There are many local restaurants nearby, including noodle shops and hotpot places, and Shibati is also only about a 10-minute walk away. We regret staying only 3 nights here—we wanted to stay longer because of how comfortable the hotel was. On our last day when we checked out, there was a male staff member with an earring on his left ear (I forgot to ask his name) who helped carry our luggage into the Didi and assisted with communicating with the driver through our app. Thank you so much for the excellent service, and Asiam Hotel is truly the best choice for first-time tourists visiting Chongqing.

The building has a couple of different operators. One of them is ASIAM International. The staffs do not wear uniforms which appearance not very professional. Hotel lobby allows people to smoke. The appearance and feel is not very comfortable. Lift and room corridors light was pretty dim, not bright enough. The room doesn’t have a TV but with XiaoMi projector. You need to switch off living room lightings in order to see properly. There are only a handful of movies and tv shows with no TV channels. Most shows need to be purchase which is a setback. The bedrooms view are outstanding.

Check-in was quick and seamless, and our apartment on the 43rd floor was spacious, spotless, and had the best city view we’ve seen anywhere in China. The washing machine was a huge bonus after being on the road for a week. Breakfast was delicious, and the gym had everything we needed. The staff truly went out of their way to make our stay special, their hospitality made a big difference. There are plenty of eateries around the hotel, and it’s an easy walk to many popular tourist spots. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Five stars from a NZ family!

Very satisfied with stay as it’s our first time to Chongqing and wanted to explore Jiefangbei. Room is apartment style, spacious and cleaned daily. Amenities are replaced promptly. There’s washing machine in-room with drying function. Negatives is that slippers are uncomfortable, pillows too soft for my liking and water gets leaked out to dry area during shower. Fortunately we had our own slippers. You’ll be charge Y30 if you bring home the slippers. Suggest hotel provide 1 hard and 1 soft pillow. My eyes got swollen in the morning because of the soft ones. Toilet flush is powerful and bidet powered. A deposit of Y500 is required upon check-in. Upon check-out, staff will inspect room before returning the deposit. We paid in cash. Payment by card will require some time to get refunded. Window can be open. No bathrobe and shoehorn provided. Room 3308 door is creaking loudly. Needs oiling.

Location is very accessible to JieFangBei, Ba Yi Food Street and Big Miniso Land, and many more. Hotel receptionist is very helpful to locate parcel too. Bed is very comfortable.
