Park Hyatt Kyoto

The location is incredibly convenient; you can just step out and start exploring. The hotel itself is very picturesque, so you don't even need to go elsewhere for photos. I stayed at the Capella on the third and fourth days, and while I liked both hotels, the Park Hyatt's location and views were superior!

We had a wonderful stay at the Park Hyatt Kyoto. Despite a minor issue early on, the team resolved it quickly, kindly, and generously, demonstrating the high standards of service expected from a Park Hyatt. The Pagoda Suite was breathtaking, with stunning views and impeccable attention to detail. It felt like being in a forest overlooking the entire city of Kyoto and the Yasaka Pagoda. Special thanks to Housekeeping Manager Mr. Kai, Mr. Yo, and Mr. Ivan for their warm service and professionalism. Our experience was truly delightful, and we look forward to returning.

The location is excellent, very close to tourist attractions, but there's no shuttle service. I'd recommend taking a taxi to and from the hotel, otherwise it's hard to manage luggage on the crowded public buses. When I visited, the Gion Festival was happening, and public transport in the area was mostly shut down, so I had to rely on walking everywhere. The environment is beautiful and peaceful, a quiet oasis in the bustling city. They do offer Chinese-speaking staff, but it's hit or miss; I didn't encounter any during my check-in, though there was a lovely lady in the restaurant who spoke fluent Chinese. Breakfast is relatively extensive, but it's not a pure buffet. There's a menu, though it's not complicated. They usually ask what you'd like to drink first, then take your order. For first-time guests, it's a good idea to ask a Chinese-speaking staff member to explain the menu in detail.

It's been a while since I last visited Kyoto, and this time I stayed at the Park Hyatt. I was initially worried it might be too 'influencer-hyped,' but I ended up being extremely satisfied. The location, decor, cleanliness, and service were all impeccable. I was particularly impressed by the design and material choices – truly ingenious. Online reviews often recommended room 308 for the Ninen-zaka Suite, and I had requested it in advance. However, I was given 208 upon arrival, which was a bit disappointing at first. But after staying there, I actually felt 208 might be better for summer, offering more privacy and a balcony with pleasant greenery that was easy on the eyes. The teppanyaki was decent, nothing exceptional but perfectly fine. The Ninen-zaka Suite itself was a bit on the small side, but the comfort level was outstanding.

The service was absolutely top-notch, and the hotel's atmosphere was fantastic too.

Really liked it! A satisfying hotel, stayed for half a month, and will definitely come back in the future. It's convenient and comfortable. The front desk service was excellent, they helped me resolve an issue. My booking was split into several parts, and they managed to link them all together for me.

The hotel is a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The rooms are cozy, and the service is impeccable. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member who was incredibly nice and helped us with our check-in. All the hotel staff were warm and polite; everything was just perfect. Personally, I found it more comfortable than staying at an Aman, and it's a hotel I'll always look forward to. Oh, and although the Japanese restaurant is Michelin-starred, the Western restaurant on the first floor also offers excellent food, especially the lobster pasta – it's exactly to my liking.

I really like Park Hyatt; the service has always been great. I stayed here last October too. My main issue this time is that the breakfast doesn't seem as good as it used to be.
