Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongya Cave Houju High-altitude River-view Hotel

My stay at Houju High‑rise River‑view Hotel was absolutely wonderful. It enjoys an excellent location in the core area of Jiefangbei. You can walk to Hongyadong and Bayi Food Street easily, with plenty of local restaurants nearby. The high‑floor room offers fantastic views of the Yangtze River and Yuzhong skyline. It is breathtaking to watch the city light up at dusk. The room is spotlessly clean, with tidy bedding and bathroom. Well‑equipped with a projector and lounge seating, the stylish retro‑decorated room is very comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient, responding quickly to requests. Highly recommended for couples and friends traveling to Chongqing.

This hotel was located in a perfect spot, so close to everything in the city and great food right outside. The view was amazing, especially at night.

Everything's great - the location, the view, the room - except for the air conditioning. First, at least put a translation of what the Chinese text on the buttons means next to it. I used online translation and still lost the battle - no matter what I set it too, it was too cold, resulting in a sleepless night. And second - do the same (translation) for the projector.

This is a decent hotel, it’s literally right in the centre. The views from the room was immaculate. However, I would not stay here again, the room definitely needed an upgrade and a deep cleaning. The breakfast that they offer for a price was disgusting, everything was cold when they brought it to the room, and the coffee tasted extremely burnt. I wouldn’t really mind if it was included in the hotel price, but this is something I paid more money for.

You can enjoy the city’s vibrant skyline in the daytime and the dazzling night lights along the river at night. The room facilities are well-equipped, featuring elegant retro decor, cozy and soft bedding, and a well-designed dry-wet separated bathroom. The hygiene standard is impeccable—every corner of the room is spotlessly clean, with no dust or unpleasant odors. The staff provide warm and thoughtful service, with quick check-in and prompt responses to all requests. It’s a perfect accommodation choice combining great views, convenient location, top-tier facilities and attentive service.

Great hotel right in the city center. All the main attractions are within easy walking distance, and the metro station is just around the corner. Highly recommended!
