Divan Cukurhan Hotel

I had to book this hotel last minute because my original hotel had a gas leak. Its location is great for those traveling by car, as it's right at the entrance of the ancient castle. If you're only staying one night in Ankara, I think this hotel is a good choice. At least the sunset view from the castle is beautiful – probably the only scenery worth seeing in Ankara. However, this hotel is quite surprising. Despite its non-cheap price, when I asked for a few extra bottles of water, they actually charged me for them. I really didn't expect that. The hotel breakfast isn't a buffet; it's served individually per person. The taste is moderate, and there aren't many options. The hotel's strong point is that it includes a ticket to its own museum. I checked, and buying a separate ticket for this museum isn't cheap. The exhibits inside are definitely worth seeing. For this aspect, I'd still recommend it.

From a tourist's perspective, the hotel's location is excellent. It's incredibly convenient, just a short walk to the castle, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, and the wooden mosque, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel itself, both inside and out, is steeped in history, culture, and art. It's exquisitely elegant, blending a strong sense of historical age with a light and vibrant contemporary artistic feel, captivating both guests and visitors alike. The hotel's restaurant is also a major highlight. Not only does it offer stunning views of Ankara city, but guests can also enjoy first-class cuisine prepared by the restaurant's chef. The service at the restaurant is also superb.

So many flies, I was swatting them all night. On the plus side, the hotel's museum was quite fun; you could spend two hours there, and it's free for guests.

Excellent location and service. The restaurant, in particular, has a superb chef. However, it was a bit disappointing that there was no refrigerator in the room.

This is probably the only place I liked in Ankara.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were very kind and attentive. The rooms were clean and spacious.
