Clio Ella Resort

We arrived at 10pm and there was a closed cafe we didn’t even know where this report is , had to call and they told me wait for 20 minutes to pick you up then we had to go on a safari jeep ride for 20 minutes before getting to a cable car to get to the reception . The rooms were very spacious but horrible condition in the bathroom , no water pressure and also no hot water for the shower so we skipped shower altogether for the 2 days . You are stuck in this jungle with nothing much to do and if you decide to get out the cable car and 29 minute ride is there . So not a pleasant stay unless you are looking for a tenting experience but paying for a hotel !

We stayed at Clio Ella Jungle Resort for 2 nights from 10th to 12th February, booking 3 rooms for our family getaway. First of all, I would like to give a special shout-out to Mr. Perera, who took great care of us during our stay. He was attentive, helpful, and very professional throughout. The rest of the ground staff were also very friendly and genuinely tried their best to assist us and apologize whenever issues arose. The location is absolutely fabulous, right next to the river, offering a peaceful jungle atmosphere. The food was delicious, and we truly enjoyed the meals during our stay. However, there were very disappointing experiences that must be mentioned. The most unacceptable incident was related to hygiene. On the first night, rats entered my sister’s room. One even came onto the bed in the middle of the night while they were sleeping. This was a shocking and extremely unpleasant situation. Sadly, on the following night, I experienced the same issue in my own room. There were rats running on the window curtains, and I had to call the housekeeping team in the middle of the night while my baby boy was sleeping. Both nights, we did not get proper sleep due to this unhygienic situation. This is something no guest should ever have to experience. While the ground staff tried very hard to handle the situation and sincerely apologized to us, I was quite surprised that the management did not take stronger action or responsibility regarding such a serious matter. I work closely with hotels on a daily basis and have stayed in many properties, but this was the first time I experienced rats running inside a guest room. It was very embarrassing for me, especially in front of my family, as I was the one who arranged this stay for them. I strongly believe the management should take urgent action to resolve this issue and ensure proper hygiene standards are maintained. Guests deserve a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.

Wonderful surrounding with the nature and absolutely a calm and peaceful environment.only thing is property not maintained for so long and you have ti keep eye on every steps you take

You need to be physically fit to enjoy fully. Travellers with experience of the world will appreciate the understated luxury.

We stayed one night at Jungle Resort in August, booking 3 rooms. While the location is undeniably beautiful and surrounded by nature, the overall experience was very poor. Access to the resort was unsafe and disorganised, and the cable car felt unreliable. It took nearly 2 hours to get our bags to the rooms. The rooms were extremely basic with poor lighting, gaps in doors and windows, old and dirty rugs, insufficient airconditioning (we had a small unit for AC), minimal room amenities, large gaps in glass sliding door allowing entry for insects or even small animals, inconsistent water supply, sink blockage, and multiple power cuts. Food (Breakfast) was cold, poorly presented, and left unattended — with flies all around. Although the staff tried their best, the management and logistics were clearly lacking. Most disappointing was that after emailing the resort to share our concerns, no one responded. Yet they seem quick to reply to positive reviews. I'm genuinely surprised to see the positive reviews here, as our experience was cpmpletely the opposite. We paid a price comparable to a 5-star property — but this resort wouldn't even deserve 1 star based on our experience. Definitely would not recommend.

The place experience of my life in a resort was here. I loved everything about it . The view, the place , cleanliness, service , breakfast, food everything , I say it’s a package deal at cheap dirt price and no one should miss it. Lalit and Dulanja made our experience amazing by being so good at what they do and give us a service we didn’t expect . Must visit waterfall treck and do a short zip line which they have within theri massive resort . Also they have their own river which I would in the morning and wake up to the sound of water . I don’t wish to leave but definitely will come back .
