Amazing location with great views of the forest with rooms in amazing locations within the grounds . The staff were very friendly and attentive though the manager was quite sharp to start with , he mellowed though 😀 food was lovely in a very beautiful restaurant, our waitress sorry I don’t have her name who took the orders both nights was brilliant and Simon with his Pina Colados was such a gentleman. A beautiful room well presented and loved Fred who walked us home each night . House keeper 10/10 the laundry service speed incredible . I loved everything about the place, The lodge is very well organized, with beautifully maintained premises and a breathtaking view from the restaurant and the cottages. The food was excellent, with a good variety at breakfast and very tasty dishes overall.excellent service. Everything was well arranged, and the atmosphere made my stay truly memorable.

We stayed for 3 nights to do gorilla trekking. We had asked for the most quiet location and were given Villa #5, which was great because it had a private path to it and was all by itself. The Villa had all we needed for a comfortable stay and came with free entertainment in the afternoons from the resident monkeys while we enjoyed the porch swings. We did not book through A & K yet did not feel we were treated any differently than guests who did. We were happily surprised to receive personalized water bottles for the trek. They also loaned us gators and walking sticks. They took great care of our driver including feeding him in the same area where the guests eat. This was a nice touch. The drivers work hard and deserve to be treated well. This was our first experience in an A & K property and will likely look for others for future trips around the globe.

Gorilla Forest Lodge is an awesome property to stay. They offer a combo of luxury, great cuisine including tasty vegetarian dishes and fantastic Gorilla trekking experience. The highlight of our 3 day stay was the surprise visit of a gorilla around the property!!! This gave us ample time to watch and observe the gorilla in very close proximity. The Manager, barman, chef and every staff member were ever ready for service with a smile!!

When we checked into the Gorilla Forest Lodge we thought it was the wrong property. A major renovation has changed the look - in a big and beautiful way. Instead of tents there are now spacious and modern chalets. Service is impeccable, the food delicious, and the setting unbeatable, especially if you plan to go gorilla tracking. Michael, our butler, kept our room spotless and even cleaned our hiking boots - so well in fact we thought he'd gone out and purchased new ones. We had a wonderful 3 night stay!
