Holiday Inn Express BORDENTOWN - TRENTON SOUTH by IHG

The toilet was not that clean. Secondly first we received one room which had very congested toilet, then after we had to change the room. Only thing is the staff should be knowing what room they are providing to customer as the one they provided room 317 had a very congested toilet due to an adjacent janitor room. But same time I really appreciate the staff’s response as soon as I told my concern and immediately gave me better room.

Checked into a dirty room with previous guests food still in fridge and hair in the bed. Got switched to different room to have long black hair on both bath towels. Went to get more towels and lady at desk said she had just put fresh ones out.

First the good: staff were friendly, the room was large bed was comfortable hotel was pretty quiet. Now the bad bathroom floor was dirty, hallways and elevator and carpet were dirty. Fitness room was dirty machines were not cleaned I was there for two days and same can of soda was still sitting at machine no anti/bacterial gel anywhere also on Sunday no cinnamon rolls and no yogurt.

TV did not work, “no signal.” Breakfast was light. Coffee had no sugar free creamer or milk.

We booked a queen room with extra floor space but on arrival were told this hotel doesn't have such rooms. Could've paid £50 less so not happy about that. Room wasn't particularly clean, found a live bug in the bed, carpets need shampooed, inside drawers were dirty, condition of shower tray in bathroom was very poor - I just felt grubby being in the room. Girl on reception when we arrived was so unhelpful when I asked about the larger room - she clearly just wanted to go home. People rave about the breakfast, we found it lacked in choice and providing paper plates and plastic cutlery was poor. I'm glad it was just a base and we didn't spend much time there. Very poor in comparison to other Holiday Inn's we have stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a quick two night stay. The first night, there was no hot water to take showers. When I called down to the front desk, they said to try again in ten minutes. We were too tired from driving & tried again in the morning. Once again the water was cold. This time the front desk sent someone up, who was great! She tried to get the hot water to work, but could not. She moved us to another room & made sure the hot water was working before we settled it! The facility needs updating, but the staff was great!

Room and hotel were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shower didn't work great, but usable. Breakfast was decent. Area around hotel was safe
