Holiday Inn Resort PHUKET by IHG

As a long-standing, reliable resort under IHG, my recent stay far exceeded expectations – it's definitely the best value for money in the Patong area! The room has been renovated in a modern Thai style. The wooden lattice sliding doors create an open and airy separation of spaces, while the large herringbone wood flooring paired with vintage patterned tiles and warm lighting fosters a wonderfully relaxed vacation vibe. The circular, illuminated vanity mirror is both elegant and practical. The toiletries are from the SOAK series, known for its natural ingredients, leaving skin feeling perfectly hydrated after showering – you can truly feel the brand's attention to detail. Opening the balcony door reveals a breathtaking tropical view. The entire garden is lush with coconut trees, and the Thai mythical creature stone carvings hidden among the greenery add an authentic local touch. The sapphire-blue pool shimmers in the sunlight. The relaxation pavilions in the pool area are perfectly designed for vacationers; with large ceiling fans providing a cool breeze, you can lounge and directly overlook the entire pool and mountain view. When you're tired from swimming, you can easily rest under a parasol by the shore without feeling crowded. The location is also incredibly convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk to Patong Beach and Jungceylon, making shopping and dining a breeze. The service maintains IHG's consistently high standards; staff proactively offer children's amenities to guests with kids. We stayed for five days with our child, and it was a truly relaxing Phuket getaway. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again on future trips to Phuket!

Stayed on the 4th floor, the room had a musty smell as soon as I entered. The air conditioning was freezing cold, so I had to turn it off at night. It's very close to Patong Beach from the back. Jungceylon is about a 15-minute walk away. The security guards at the entrance were very friendly and always helped carry our luggage when we came and went. There are 3 small pools and one large one. The Thai milk tea at breakfast was very good.

The room was spacious, and the air conditioning was nice and cool. Breakfast was incredibly rich and delicious, and not too crowded. We played in the pool until sunset, and it was just a few steps to the beach to watch the sunset, which was lovely. It's a walkable distance to Jungceylon, and walking to the bar street then back to the hotel along the beach was also fine. Everything within walking distance was great. For a hotel of its age, it's really well-maintained, which is a big plus. The three kids' pools are more suitable for younger children. Our room was close to the end of the hall, but other than being a bit further to walk, it didn't really impact anything. We even had a sea view!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Bangla Road and Jungceylon Shopping Center. There are also several 7-Eleven stores nearby. The staff are all very friendly and greet everyone they see. The breakfast and mini-bar selections are also generous. The pool is exceptionally clean and clear. It's a real gem of a hotel! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 On the morning of our check-out, the restaurant staff even gave us some粽子 (zongzi)-like food, which tasted delicious.

The room was very spacious, and I was able to check in as early as 12:30 PM. The breakfast was very clean. The only downside is that I was in room 1101, and the WiFi signal was very poor, possibly because it was a corner room.

The room wasn't as bad as some online reviews made it out to be; I thought it was pretty good. It was clean, just a bit humid, which is unavoidable. The other hotel exit is super close to the beach, just across the street. Very convenient!

Second time staying here, it's gotten a bit older. This time, my room faced the street and was a little noisy. They have a kids' club, and breakfast was decent. We ate at Sam’s and Grill, which was pretty good. It's right in the bustling Patong area, and Patong Beach is very close. Across the street is the OTOP market, and there are many massage shops around.

We booked a connecting room. While the room was a bit old, it was clean and not damp, and quite spacious and comfortable. Our kids loved the layout of the children's room. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choices. The hotel staff's service was decent; not overly enthusiastic, but not cold either. Overall, we were very satisfied. The large pool area leads directly to the beach, so we enjoyed both the sea and the pool. There's a massage parlor if you turn right out of the hotel, near the 7-Eleven. Be warned, they aggressively demand tips, asking for 100 baht, which left a bad taste in our mouths. We had many massages in Phuket, and this one was the most mediocre while still demanding a tip – definitely avoid it! If you turn left out of the hotel, cross the road and turn left again, there's another massage place that gives amazing massages! They even went out of their way to cross the road and return my lost sunglasses! We went there twice a day. Overall, prices in Patong are a bit higher than in Kata.
