Do not book this hotel. Takes forever to reply messages and are very inconsiderate and not empathetic at all. I have ask trip.com on my behalf to ask for a free cancellation for an earthquake nearby and although the city is not directly affected, for safety concerns and concerns for aftermath, i asked for a specific circumstance cancellation that is out of my control. NOPE, denied. Disgusting. Even the Japan railway that was temporarily suspended and up and running the following day, was willing to honor ticket cancellation for a week after the earthquake. All they care is about their dam policy and money, no consideration for safety and potential consequences. DO NOT BOOK!!!

The breakfast was great. The communal bath on the first floor was great. The room was good, and even the price was reasonable for cherry blossom season in Hirosaki. The only downside is the location - it is some 25 minutes away from Hirosaki station on foot, and 40 minutes away from the castle which is probably going to be your main destination in Hirosaki. Still a good value for its money.

The hotel is also good, just far from Hirosaki Station is a little off ...... (I did not notice, distance from Hirosaki Park, this is my personal matter ....... ) The facilities only use the hot springs, are mainly for outdoor amusement. The food was also good; but when I first arrived, I got a 6:30-7:00 meal voucher, and finally one day, maybe I didn't know, I got to the restaurant early in the morning and waited for nothing...

The hotel is located very far from the train station. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The hotel staff is friendly. On the ground floor there is a small onsen, vending machines, an ice machine, washers and dryers. The breakfasts are delicious.

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and has parking. It is easy to go to Hirosaki Castle in less than ten minutes. The staff are very helpful and provide good details about the stay and sightseeing around the city. If I have a chance, I will stay again.

Because of the unpredictable weather during the Hirosaki cherry blossom season, we had to book another branch of Roo-Yak in the face of the skyrocketing room rates. The location of the Hirosaki branch is quite good, while the Joto branch is far away. It costs about 1,100-1,200 yen to take a taxi from Hirosaki Station. It is very convenient to stay here during the Hirosaki cherry blossom season. Moreover, a family of three could only book three single rooms, which is amazing. The room type is the same as the Hirosaki branch, a super mini 11-square-meter single room, and the facilities are relatively newer than the Hirosaki branch. Let me talk about the advantages. The breakfast is better than the Hirosaki branch, and it is relatively close to Montbell (about 15 minutes walk)
