This hotel is an absolute paradise, where you can forget all your worries! We were met at the pier and helped with our luggage (even though the hotel is a 3-minute walk from the pier and there's a paved road). Our family room for four was a two-room suite with two double beds. The only downside is that the white, ornate furniture, upon closer inspection, is quite scuffed. Also, the shower is only separated by a partition on one side, so water splashes onto the floor from the other. Otherwise, everything in the room is great. The bedding and towels are clean, there's bottled drinking water, and you can get additional water from the fridge at reception anytime. Each room, as well as the restaurant, has foot showers.
The included breakfasts are delicious, offering fried eggs, pancakes or waffles, pastries, ham, cheese, sausages, rice or noodles with vegetables, and a large selection of fruits (mango, pineapple, orange, passion fruit, papaya, dragon fruit, watermelon). Lunches and dinners from the à la carte menu at the restaurant are also very good. The restaurant always has a pleasant atmosphere, sea views, and tables right by the beach. On some evenings, there's live music and a BBQ on the beach. Nearby in the village, there are other cafes of varying standards; the local ones are cheaper and tasty too, but the decor and service suffer. In the second half of our stay, we stopped looking for variety and only ate at the hotel restaurant.
The hotel beach is simply magical! Super white sand, turquoise clear water! There were always enough sun loungers. There are free paddleboards and kayaks, table tennis, and giant chess. The pool has plenty of inflatable rings, toys, and armbands for small children, which I saw people also take to the sea. There's also a cool surf club with an artificial wave. It's paid (I think $25 per hour), but we each received a card for a free hour of lessons during specific times. Our teenage son was thrilled. The restaurant has board games. The hotel also offers boat and tuk-tuk excursions. We took a private boat trip with snorkeling, fishing, BBQ, sunset viewing at sea, and glowing plankton. We didn't take the tuk-tuk as we decided there was no better beach than ours here. There's a massage parlor on the beach, with massages starting from $20 per hour, bookings at reception. We really enjoyed the massage.
I heard doubts from others about this hotel due to a road running between the hotel and the beach, but it's not at all bothersome, as traffic on this road is minimal.
The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful with any requests. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel; it's worth the money and has everything for a wonderful and comfortable holiday.
