Qiyu Hotel (Waitan City God Temple Branch Shanghai)

The hotel's location is pretty good, situated in the Yuyuan business district. It's bustling downstairs. A short walk right out of the hotel brings you to an intersection, where across the street, the Sanku Restaurant offers unique and tasty dishes. Yuyuan Garden is also diagonally opposite the intersection, though personally, I feel it can't quite compare to the gardens in Suzhou and Yangzhou. The Bund is also quite close, about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and while the rooms are a bit small, it's acceptable. The cleanliness is also decent. The front desk is small, but the service is good. Plus, there's a nice rooftop garden on top of the hotel. Overall, it's a decent hotel, offering reasonable value for money. If you're looking for a lively area for shopping, this could be a good choice.

First time in Shanghai, and I chose Qiyu Hotel. The location is excellent, surrounded by a food street right outside the door, and within walking distance to nearby attractions. It's a great spot for evening photos.
