Rockland Talbot House

The place was very clean and quiet. There was plenty of parking and space to put our stuff. The evening pie was really good. The breakfast was just cereal, oatmeal, yogurt and juice.

My wife and I booked a room with Talbot house for this weekend. After we booked my daughter had a medical emergency and we had to postpone our trip. I asked for either a credit or refund due to our situation but Mark wouldn’t make an exception. I spoke to a women named Mary yesterday and she mentioned she could help us. When I advised Mark of this he said this is because Mary doesn’t like to say no to people and he would have a talk with her. All the other hotels we booked with in the area refunded our prepayments understanding this was high season and they would fill up right away. Not this place. So I didn’t cancel our reservation, why free up a room so they could double their money? He even said we could send someone else in our place, while we sit in a hospital room with my daughter… wow I would recommend staying far from this place! If anyone wants our room from 8/15-17, reach out I’ll provide you a 60% discount.

My stay at the Tablot house Rockland Maine was very satisfied and I Recommend the Tablot house Rockland. My dislike was I think that a continental breakfast should be included.

This is an absolutely beautiful property and is perfect for a stay during Lobsterfest! This is a historic home that has been converted into a BnB in exactly the way they all should be... easy check-in, stairs and floors that don't creak, beautiful rooms (we stayed in #6), electrical outlets everywhere you could possibly need them, great A/C, cozy fireplace, loads of extra pillows and linens and, most importantly, an incredible three-head shower in the remodeled bath. This place has all the historic charm while providing the modern qualities people want. The grounds are lovely and the owners are delightful people. We highly recommend!

Historic and comfortable A large 1864 house in very good shape and well kept up, so staying at Talbot House is like stepping into history. That said, its an adjunct to the hotel next door, and we did not see any hotel staff at all during a four-night stay (there was maid service that came while we were out). Nice common rooms and very quiet.

The room was not real large, but we had everything we needed. It was very quiet . The room and bathroom were very clean, well equipped, and the bed was comfortable with nice linens. I really appreciated the magnifying mirror in the bathroom. I was a little disappointed with the continental breakfast. There was nothing to eat for anyone watching sugar intake. The cereals offered were geared more to children like Lucky Charms and Fruit Loops. Please consider offering one item that is not heavy in carbs and sugar. Very nice location, and I would highly recommend.

good morning Although the house and rooms were #5 there really was no breakfast we have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and always got nice breakfasts of local ingredients. a commercial granola or fig bar is not a breakfast if it was just clear no breakfast would rate differently. just our opinion

Wonderful historic house and a sizable, comfortable and well-designed room. It was a very enjoyable stay and a quiet night's sleep. Everything about the Talbot is comfortable and welcoming. Highly recommended.

The stay was perfect. The bed was a little stiff, but overall it was a great stay.
