Zhong Gu Hotel

An older hotel with carpeted rooms and bright windows, plus a bathtub. The location is great, near Beijing Railway Station and a subway stop. There are small restaurants nearby, and the area has good amenities, making it quite convenient for getting around. The room size is moderate, but the mattress springs are a bit uncomfortable. The service is good.

The hotel has a great environment. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean. It's fully equipped and the service is attentive. The surrounding area is also excellent, being very close to Beijing Station and the subway, making travel convenient. Di Tan Park is nearby, and it's also very close to Chang'an Avenue. There's a small park next to the old city wall where you can exercise. I would choose this hotel again next time I'm in Beijing, especially since the price is reasonable and acceptable.

The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, plenty of hot water, and all the disposable amenities were complete and practical. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, checking me in quickly, and their service was thoughtful and attentive, responding promptly to any requests. The overall environment was quiet and elegant, with a simple yet grand decor, and attention to detail was evident everywhere. It offers great value for money, perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time and highly recommend it to everyone!

Hygiene: Far from ideal. The room had a strong, pervasive smell of mildew, and the towels reeked of disinfectant. Service: Underwhelming, but some requests were met.

Beyond its excellent location, this hotel has absolutely nothing else going for it. They charge for extra bottles of water, you have to practically kick the room door open, and every night the room fills with the smell of smoke wafting in from the hallway.
