This Tsuruga is located by Lake Abashiri and is part of their high-end collection. The scenery is beautiful, the decor is unique, and the buffet is fresh and delicious. Overall, it's very good, but I can't help but feel it's not quite perfect. Perhaps the room wasn't spacious enough.

This time, I really got a taste of Tsuruga. We booked their most luxurious cabin villa! But after checking in, we found that the entire second-floor sleeping area had two large, red fire safety lights and two green lights, all of which couldn't be turned off! Plus, there were three skylights above! It was impossible to sleep. When we talked to the hotel staff, they just said 'I understand!' and offered no solution! Throughout the whole process, there was no apology, and their attitude was very condescending! I strongly suspect they treat Chinese guests differently! Is this the 'Japanese service' you get for a 5000+ yen per night hotel? Blacklisted! Never staying here again. As a Ctrip Black Diamond partner, I've never experienced such service anywhere in the world.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel, and surprisingly, most of the staff speak excellent English, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Not to mention, the outdoor onsen is incredibly soothing—bathing while snowflakes gently fall around you is truly an unforgettable experience. The only downside of this hotel is its location. If you’re not traveling with a group or don’t have your own car, you’ll need to drag your luggage uphill from Yobito Station for about 20 minutes. It does take some effort, but thankfully, the beautiful snowy scenery along the way helps keep your spirits up. All in all, this is a hotel well worth trying. Huang Hungchin

Beautiful hotel, nice interior and onsen. Very clean.  Overall is good except there is no restaurant nearby the hotel, need to walk for 10-20 minutes to go to the nearest restaurants. Short breakfast time. The onsite shops and bar open at certain hours only.

the buffet is very good with a lot of diy element. the hotel is very much filled with art pieces which makes it very unique. the onsen is not big but serves its function. the room is clean and tidy.
