Hotel Vischio Kyoto by GRANVIA

The hotel is located behind Kyoto Station, just a few minutes' ride from the Kansai Airport bus stop. There's a supermarket nearby and a 24-hour chain restaurant, which is very convenient. I slept quite comfortably. The room wasn't big, but surprisingly, two 28-inch suitcases fit in it! Amazing! 😆

The room was spacious and bright, with complete facilities and excellent service. The quality was top-notch. It's very close to Kyoto Station, making transportation convenient and fast. Hotel guests can also enjoy complimentary coffee and tea, which was a great experience! 👌

This hotel is super close to Kyoto Station, about a 3-minute walk. Don Quijote is right across the street, and convenience stores are also very nearby. The room size was just right, and the wet and dry areas were well-separated. The screen mirroring worked great. Downstairs, there's a self-service area where you can pick up toiletries, which is very convenient. They offer luggage storage, but the front desk staff's English is just so-so. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you're coming to Kyoto.

Had a fantastic experience, definitely staying here again! It left a wonderful impression on my Kyoto trip 🩷 The hotel is super close to Kyoto Station's Hachijo Exit, less than a five-minute walk. Right across from the hotel exit is Avanti, and on its second floor, there's a 24-hour Don Quijote. It's also really convenient to get to the shopping areas near Kyoto Station's central exit. The hotel staff were very friendly. My stay was incredibly comfortable!!

This is the worst hotel I've stayed in during my three trips to Japan. The room looks big, but that's because they've removed all the tables. You have to sit like a refugee on a small fabric stool, which is a terrible experience. The in-room Wi-Fi was absolutely terrible. We couldn't stand it and had to use our own 5G, but even then, the 5G signal in the room was spotty at best – truly desperate. Each person in each room only gets one small box of drinking water per day. I know they're trying to mimic Europe, but in Europe, while they give you a small box of water, the rooms also have water bottles and there are water dispensers on each floor or in common areas. This hotel, however, tried to imitate but failed miserably. Service: Absolutely awful! Every staff member had a sour face. When I asked for more water, they aggressively told me that each person only gets one small box per day and that's it. Not a single staff member in the entire hotel smiled at a customer. Hygiene: The newly changed bed sheets looked like this – see for yourselves. (Implicit: implies there was something wrong/dirty on the sheets) It's truly terrible. I've traveled abroad so many times, stayed in all sorts of hotels in Europe, America, and Japan, and it's very rare for me to get this angry. This hotel definitely gets a bad review!

Great location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. We visited Aeon Mall, which is on the other side of Kyoto Station, closer to the Shinkansen platforms. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious, and the room was cleaned thoroughly every day.

Close to Kyoto Station, I really loved this hotel. The bedding was comfortable, the room was quiet and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. We booked a triple room and could easily open two 28-inch suitcases without feeling cramped at all. A special shout-out to Shishikura, a Chinese lady with short hair at the front desk. When we checked in, she very warmly explained all the hotel facilities. When I checked out, I needed to retrieve my luggage from storage but had mixed up the password and couldn't open it. I was in a hurry to catch my flight and felt quite anxious. I asked Shishikura for help, and she immediately resolved the issue for me. I was so grateful to have her there; she prevented any delays to my subsequent travel plans due to a language barrier. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Kyoto in the future.
