Further into Thailand you cannot go. Just on the border with Laos this restaurant is situated on the coastline of the Mekong river. The other side of the river is Laos. The view is magnificent. The place is paradise. In the morning the sun in your back during breakfast and during happy hour and dinner life is as : god in Frankrijk, better: god in Thailand. Its a 4-star hotel, but stars don't count here because there is not such a place in a radius of hundreds of miles. The rooms have a direct view on the river. You open the windows and enjoy the stunning view. The question is: but is it a ten or a five in the ranking from 1-5? Well, that question is easy to answer: i give only a 5 (or 10) when I feel home somewhere and here I felt home. It is super relaxing, everything is possible and time does not count here. It is Thailand on its best. This family hotel do their utmost best to make you feel the King. The restaurant is amazing. They serve Thai but also Western food. So, if you are seaching for a delicious and payable tournedos or ribeye or french fries with home-made Belgium mayonaise, this is the place to be. I asked them late in the eve: why are here no musquito's ? Well, the river is floating, that is why. It is a relieve to sit at the river without these unwanted friends. For sure i will return to this place, just to relax in an environment for a couple of days and realise that we don't need much to feel happy and satisfied.

This hotel is so amazing that we decided to change our plans and to stay one more night. So peaceful, so beautiful and quiet. There are several cottages facing the river, small swimming pool. Breakfast was set home style, very delicious and good amount. For dinner there’s big selection of European and Thai food, good selection of wines. We took signature dish: Mekong river rock lobster, it was very delicious. Staff is very friendly. We feel like we came to visit our friends. Just 10-15 minutes drive there’s a view point, Market and Buddhist monastery. Highly recommend this hotel

This is a place where we fully immersed ourselves in the tranquil and exotic beauty of Kong Chiam, Thailand. Along with the magnificent scenery where two massive rivers meet, we had the special experience of seeing the Laos border unfold right before our eyes. With the expansive green lawn and outdoor swimming pool harmonizing under the blue sky, photos turn out beautifully no matter where you take them at the accommodation. I will never forget the time spent escaping the noise of the city, sitting on a swing by the river, feeling the gentle breeze, and chatting quietly with my family. My child also seemed much happier in the vast nature here than in a stuffy city hotel. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nature-friendly, healing family trip.

The accommodation has a beautiful view overlooking the Mekong River and a nice atmosphere, but the rooms are quite old. The wooden furniture has a slight musty smell, the air conditioner is old, the TV doesn't work and has no signal. The swimming pool is small, doesn't really look like the pictures, and doesn't offer any view. There's no staff to help with luggage. It's not really worth the price paid. Breakfast is acceptable, and fresh coffee is available.

A small hotel perfectly located along the Mekong River, facing Laos. The hosts are charming, the bungalows are spacious, clean, and offer all the necessary comforts (impeccable bedding). The food is good (sometimes a little slow), and you can also enjoy some German delicacies prepared by the butcher-owner. The service is excellent. Boat tours and visits to the park are very easy to arrange. In short, an excellent stay, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
