ATOUR X Hotel, Ding＇an Road Subway Station, West Lake, Hangzhou

Stayed another night after coming back from Suzhou. Since we arrived early, the only room left was the very last one down the corridor. It was quite a walk from the elevator, and having only one elevator for the whole building isn't ideal, especially with so many rooms on the second floor. One elevator really isn't enough. The third floor was under renovation, so hopefully, they'll add more elevators once it's done! Also, today's room was a corner unit, so it was very spacious. While large is good, the lighting was too dim, making some areas quite dark. The bathroom wasn't bright enough either. There's a small makeup mirror at the vanity, but it's useless because the light doesn't reach it – how am I supposed to put on makeup in the dark? I thought opening the curtains would help, but it didn't; there's a panel blocking the window, leaving only two small slits on either side to see outside, so the room still didn't get any brighter. The air conditioning in the room also wasn't very cold. When I reported it, the front desk said it was centrally controlled, and that was that. The hotel's location is still excellent, very close to the subway station – just a few steps away. Subway Line 1 goes directly to Xiaoshan Airport, and it's convenient for getting everywhere. There are many shops nearby, and it's very close to West Lake, Hefang Street, Wushan Square, etc. One more thing to add is that the hotel's laundry room is great. It has 4 washing machines and 4 dryers, and the TV in the room shows the availability of the machines. However, it's quite a long walk because the laundry room is right by the elevator exit, and our room was at the very end of the hall. 😆

This stay far exceeded my expectations, offering excellent value for money. The location is superb; the hotel is right outside the subway exit, close to major attractions and shopping areas. Many popular spots are within walking distance, making transportation incredibly convenient for both sightseeing and shopping. The hygiene standards are high; the room was spotless with no hidden grime, and the bedding was soft and clean. The bathroom was dry and mold-free, and the air was fresh without any unpleasant odors, ensuring a comfortable and reassuring stay. The facilities are well-maintained and high-quality, with a warm and inviting wooden decor. The room had great natural light and ventilation. The bedding provided an excellent sleep experience, with a choice of pillows. The bathroom had strong water pressure and instant hot water. Public areas like the book bar and gym were clean and functional, showing strong attention to detail. The service was thoughtful and warm; the staff were gentle and friendly. Check-in and check-out were efficient and convenient. They proactively helped with luggage and recommended local eateries. The best part was that they could deliver laundered clothes to the room; I didn't know this initially, but a staff member kindly informed me I could return to my room to rest. Upon check-out, they even gave my child a small gift. I will definitely stay at Atour again and highly recommend it!

I originally upgraded to a room with an openable window, hoping for some fresh air. However, with the window open, it felt like sleeping on the street due to the noise, and there was road construction going on past 11 PM. The sounds of talking and laughter from next door were incredibly clear, almost as if I was eavesdropping. The second morning, hammering started right above my head at 7 AM. Hangzhou's government has almost no control over construction times. On the third day, from morning till night, the drilling and hammering continued without a break for lunch or dinner. The workers were certainly dedicated! This positive review is just to show that I've endured this, and I hope everyone else gets a taste of it too.

The room was great, and the location was excellent! It's right next to the subway station, which made getting around incredibly convenient. It's also very close to Tangsong Imperial Street and not far from West Lake, both within walking distance. The service was very good, and the breakfast had a lot of variety.

The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the subway station. It's just one subway stop to West Lake. The welcome tea at check-in was delicious, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was super comfortable. Choosing Atour is always a good decision.
