The SoHo Boutique Atalia is a great find, a small boutique hotel located in the heart of the old town. You cannot beat the location, the rooms are clean and well decorated, and the air conditioning is top notch on a warm day. There are numerous major sites and restaurants nearby.
Our only complaint is the parking situation. Understanding that the city is hundreds of years old and not designed for vehicles, the hotel advertises on-site parking (part of the reason we chose the location). Before we arrived we received a message that the nearby streets were closed and we should park off-site. However, that was not true and the streets were open. We elected to park at the hotel, but were told that streets are two-way in the morning and due to their small sizes, it would be very difficult to leave, and we should leave later in the day, and were given permission to do so. The next morning we were told that the morning is the best time to leave, and that we needed to leave now or else we would be charged an extra night. When we pointed out that this was a direct contradiction from the prior information, we were told “sorry.”
Clearly the hotel does not want you using their parking lot and should just be upfront about it. Using parking as a draw for reservations is deceptive.
Other than that, we liked our stay.
