InterContinental Halong Bay Resort is a newly built hotel with great views. The lobby, in particular, is stunning. The room facilities are also good, as expected from an international brand, so quality is assured. However, service details need improvement: on the second day of our stay, slippers, bath salts, and tissues were not replenished; the bathtub was clearly not thoroughly cleaned; and the bed was not made neatly.

This has been the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Everything is 10/10 – it's tech-savvy, comfortable, the food is super delicious, the view is fantastic, the service is incredibly friendly. The whole hotel is fantastic; I would definitely stay again.

The hotel boasts an excellent location and a lovely beach. We stayed in a sea-view room, and waking up to the sight of the ocean, beach, and islands right outside was incredible. The breakfast spread was very generous, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The overall environment feels quite new and well-maintained. Highly recommended; it's a fantastic resort for a getaway.

InterContinental hotels always get full marks for their facilities when they're new. The staff are friendly, but they won't go out of their way to fulfill small requests. The seawater is too dirty to swim in, but you can still go beachcombing and catch tiny crabs. The breakfast is delicious.

Loved it the moment we stepped in. Chloe Vu from reception had been most helpful. Love the personalised service for cruise booking & transportation arrangement from concierge Ahn-Tran, very clear information and reply almost instantly. Emily from the restaurant has been endearing. Staff have good knowledge about the hotel, and it’s a smart AI infused hotel (sometimes even too smart!). All room faces the ocean and love that the hotel has its private beach. The hotel is very new (opened Aug 2025), so all staff are very willing to listen to feedback, and escalate info very quickly as case learning, which is encouraging to know. The hotel provide half-board and full-board option (we took the half board), so totally stress free where we should go for dinner after a long day at the cruise! I want to go back almost immediately. Next time I will take the full board option so that I can enjoy this hotel much much more.

The sea view from the hotel lobby is stunning, and the facilities are all top-notch. The staff were also very nice; even though we didn't dine at the hotel, they still recommended a fantastic nearby restaurant. A perfect trip!
