Hotel Madera Hollywood

Considering how cramped space is on Hong Kong Island, this hotel room is exceptionally spacious. The decor isn't your typical hotel style; it has a distinctive, well-designed feel. The room comes with a washing machine and microwave, making it suitable for longer stays. Although the lobby is small, the front desk staff are highly professional. There are plenty of bars nearby, but they don't disturb your sleep. The hotel doesn't have its own breakfast restaurant; you use a voucher to get breakfast at an external restaurant next door. Breakfast is a set menu, with at least four Western options to choose from, which would normally cost around HKD 100 if purchased separately.

I first saw Hotel Madera Hollywood earlier this year while passing through Central. I was initially drawn in by the graffiti design on the building's exterior, and then I marveled at its excellent location. I secretly wished I could stay there next time. After returning to Taiwan, I even specifically searched various travel platforms for guest reviews because it looked like it had a bit of an aged feel. I found that the reviews were very positive, so this time coming to Hong Kong, I directly booked a room to experience it myself. And indeed, from the front desk reception to getting the room card and the surprise upon opening the room door, all the way to checking out today, it has been the most satisfying stay. Honestly, before checking in, I was a bit hesitant about the room style based on what I saw online. But after actually staying, I've come to love this design. I can only say that photos really don't do justice to the beautiful and practical design of the rooms. Next time I come to Hong Kong, I will definitely choose Madera as my temporary home.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was good. However, the directions were confusing and hard to find. Also, having the lobby and guest rooms in separate buildings made carrying luggage inconvenient.

The environment and service were excellent.

It's really hard to find a hotel of this size in Hong Kong. The location is excellent, with many restaurants nearby. The room has a washing machine, cutlery, and a coffee machine, and you can also get coffee in the lobby. This isn't my first time staying here. One thing to correct: the hotel does offer extra beds for a fee, even though Ctrip says they don't. You can call the front desk to request one.
