Splendid stay! We were three couples who desired to travel to Positano provided we could secure rooms at the highly praised Le Sirenuse. We were successful and thrilled to end our Italy vacation by spending four memorable nights at this welcoming boutique hotel centrally situated in the heart of the town with restaurants, gelato, shops and breathtaking views all around us. On our first day, we arrived very late after experiencing delays, traffic and other complications but the staff, in particular Agata, aware of our situation, was waiting to greet us with smiles, champagne and their genuine assurances that they would help make our stay a pleasant one. There is a certain warmth and energy that flows throughout every part of the hotel. The guest rooms are a mix of traditional furnishings with modern amenities and comforts. The mounted heated towel rack, teak wood shower floors, and Dyson hair dryer in the bathroom were duly noted and appreciated. Every area of the hotel is thoughtfully and whimsically designed to create a casually elegant and intimate Mediterranean vibe, including the beautiful and colorful mosaic tiled pool. The staff make it a point to get to know you to personalize the experience and make sure that you are satisfied. We were enthusiastically greeted by Vincenzo every morning at breakfast — and at night when we dined at La Sponda. Breakfast was my favorite meal of the day — the fruit, the salads, the tomatoes, the homemade granola, the fresh eggs and the desserts — all while taking in the front row views of the Amalfi landscape and sea. We enjoyed dinners at La Sponda for a more upscale meal with truffles, candlelit ambiance and delightful musical duo and the more casual Aldo’s for delicious burgers. As always, service was attentive but not intrusive. As a group, we value having a gym, especially to work off all the gelato. The gym was well attended to by Claudia, stocked with towels, snacks and water, and constantly sanitized. Several in our group enjoyed the walking — rather the strenuous climbing — excursions led by Giovanni at 8 am. I joined one and found a sense of pride for having endured thousands of steep steps before breakfast. Extra dessert for me that day! Somehow, on a whim, I squeezed in time for two excellent 25 minute massages by Marco as well as enjoyed the steam room and sauna. I appreciated that the hotel was able to accommodate massage services on very short notice. The sunset cruise offered by the hotel and led by Carlo was a relaxing way to spend our last night for a quick jaunt on the sea before our final supper. This hotel is in a class by itself. Just outside its doors is a busy and bustling area, yet once you enter Le Sirenuse, you have transcended through time and leave your worries behind. Thank you to the entire staff who made us all feel seen.
