Mansion House Hotel

Bed was very comfortable. Do not take room 9 (king sized bed room). It overlooks the carpark and you'd get the smoke from pple smoking outside in your room.Like others mentioned, carpet has stains. Room is simple but adequate. Shower pressure was so bad though!!! I was afraid it would go off halfway during a shower! Location is great. Near Tesco and there are nice walks up the hill from the hotel. Staff really nice and helpful. They helped with getting luggage up and down stairs.

The room was nice. The bar closes around 9.45 pm.so a bit disappointed. I would have preferred to have an option of a gluten free cereal for breakfast.

Overall, it was a wonderful hotel and experience. Excellent shower !! Carpet was a little threadbare, but you have to give it a pass because of the age of the property. It’s a castle.!! Great breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

In desperate need of bringing it up to date. You could breathe the dust mites in the common areas.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Mansion House. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Elgin plus has very accessible parking. The surrounding walks and neighboring river made me feel like a character in a Jane Austin novel. Iona, Billy and all the staff made us feel like family. We even learned how to play snooker. Breakfast couldn’t have been better or more convenient. Will definitely try to return every time we go to Scotland!!!

Staff was very accommodating! I would definitely recommend to family and friends. Fabulous breakfast!
