Mitton Hall Hotel

We stayed at Mitton Hall to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, and it couldn't have been more perfect. After mentioning the occasion before our stay, the team kindly upgraded our room and arranged a private dinner in the beautiful walled garden. Those thoughtful touches made our anniversary truly unforgettable. The room was fantastic, the food was exceptional and the service was warm and attentive throughout. Mitton Hall is set in an idyllic location, making it the perfect place to relax while exploring the Ribble Valley. A huge thank you to everyone for making our stay so special. We can't wait to return.

Our 7th stay at this truly magnificent hotel, and every visit is as special as the first. Mitton Hall is a beautiful blend of history, charm and timeless elegance. The staff are exceptional, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is warm, relaxing and welcoming. Staying here feels like stepping back in time, while enjoying every modern luxury. I have now had the pleasure of staying at Mitton Hall three times. Twice with just myself and my dog and once with my partner and our dog. Each time has been a delightful experience and the fact that it is dog friendly, is very important to myself and my partner. Well appointed modernised rooms. Set in beautiful gardens, the hotel has a terrace to the rear which, when it shines, has the sun for the day. Drinks on the terrace, wonderful. Excellent food and including breakfast, what's not to like. The staff are so helpful, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I look forward to my next visit. Obviously recommended.

Mitton Hall is set in an absolutely beautiful location. We only stayed the one night, but found every member of staff to be helpful & friendly. We stayed for both evening dinner & breakfast. Both were excellent! The only issue, was the bedroom, which could do with a bit of a refurb! Would also benefit from new pillows which felt quite lumpy & uncomfortable!

Very nice country house Hotel with lots of character. Obviously geared up for the wedding market. Standard double room was a little on the small size, but adequate for a single night. Ate in the bar (same menu as the restaurant), and the meal was very nice. Service was a little slow, as thee only seemed to be one member of staff manning the bar, taking orders and serving food.

Went for champagne afternoon tea with seven people, gorgeous hotel and stunning environment but was slightly disappointed in the afternoon tea! Drinks took 15 minutes to arrived and the restaurant wasn’t even too busy, what was specified on the menu wasn’t what was delivered for example; egg, truffle and rocket sandwich noted but just a plain egg sandwich arrived. Also missed off some sandwiches on one of the boards - we did ask for these to be made. Enjoyed the day out but food was fairly average!

Went for afternoon tea to celebrate family members 80th birthday. The afternoon tea was so nice with dietary requirements attended to. All the staff were very friendly especially one waiter who was very attentive and polite. We sat by the fire in the main hall which was lovely.

We had a lovely wedding, unfortunately the venues advertised 24 hour security turns out to be 2 night porters wandering the venue overnight. We had £450 worth of items stolen from the main wedding room which is left unlocked (and the terrace doors wide open) overnight. The venue just dismissed this as being our responsibility and defended their position. Shame as the day itself and the staff running the wedding was all good. Also just to add that for the entire wedding party there was ONE shower / bathroom accessible which was in our suite. It was manic trying to get everyone ready in time.

Food was nice. Service was ok. Slow. The hotel itself is magnificent. However, it needs a good deep clean. The toilets are dirty. The curtains in the dining room are dirty and above the great hall it’s cobweb galore. Very poor really as it could be amazing.
