Iforest Hotel (Shanghai Hongkou Football Stadium)

The location is pretty good. Lu Xun Park, Lu Xun's former residence, Shanyin Road, and Tian'ai Road are all nearby. It's also close to the subway station, with plenty of restaurants and snack shops around. I won't comment much on the hotel environment itself. We had a duplex double room, which was essentially an attic. Upstairs, there were two beds and a table. Downstairs, there's just enough space for one person to stand and hang a couple of clothes. The bathroom is right inside, and it's very narrow; tall people will hit their heads.

Facilities: The pictures are misleading; it's much smaller than it appears, nestled between two floors. After taking the elevator, you still have to climb a flight of stairs, and the ceiling is quite low. Environment: It's a fair distance from both the subway and bus stations, and getting a taxi is also a hassle. Hygiene: The room has a strong, damp, and moldy smell.

The environment is great, no strange smells, and you need to use your key card to access the elevators, which makes it very safe. It's also super convenient for taking the subway. This is a stylish hidden gem of a hotel, perfect for families traveling with children. I'll definitely book it again next time I'm in Shanghai! The front desk staff were also lovely!

Fantastic! The room was clean and hygienic, and my child absolutely loved the slide – their favorite! They even said they want to come back and stay again next time. We also visited the Shanghai Wild Animal Park and had a great time there.

Overall, it was excellent! Very clean, and the front desk staff even gave us a free upgrade to a larger room, which was a pleasant surprise. The bedding was also fantastic and very comfortable. The hotel's location is perfect; it's close to everything. Highly recommended!

It's a bit far from Hongqiao Station; you have to transfer 2 subway lines, taking about an hour. The hotel is just over 300 meters from Exit 3 of the subway station. The room is very compact, and the window is non-opening, meant only for natural light rather than ventilation. I booked a king room for just over 200 RMB, which is acceptable for that price on weekdays. People with claustrophobia or a strong need for spaciousness probably won't be able to handle it.

Although the room is small, it's perfect for a solo traveler. It's clean and odor-free, the staff are friendly and helpful, and they provide a complimentary bottle of water every day. The price is also very reasonable, making it an excellent choice for solo travel.
