Aloft Lexington

This hotel was awkward: no dressers for clothing, no closet, no cleaning service (unless requested a day in advance). For eight days I was living out of my suitcase. I’m not sure I would stay again.

A week before we arrived, I checked to make sure the pool was working. They said it was, but when there were a swim classes on Saturday morning, we could use the pool at the Element across the parking lot. We got there and the pool was out of service for the entire time of our stay. Friday through Monday. The Element pool was also out of service for our entire stay. We were very disappointed . The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. . I would recommend some sort of nightlight because when the lights were off, it was really dark. If you had to usethe bathroom in the middle of the night, it was pitch dark. The area around the bathroom sink is pretty minimal if there are two people. I can’t imagine taking a family to this hotel. The so called closet area was very small. It did not go side to side. It went front to back and was very shallow. My husband and I were going to an event where we had to take some nice clothes and there was barely room for them. The bathroom on the first floor near the lobby had no soap in the dispensers for the entire time that we were there, and the trash was never emptied although I did ask the front desk to take care of it on Saturday night. It was never taken care of. It was nice having a pool table in the lobbysince we could not swim and we had a little free time.

Room was clean, staff friendly, did not like the breakfast set up so we never ate at the hotel, parking was good.

This was a great location for us while doing some historical tours in the area. The location is easy to find and staff very pleasant. The hallways and room were exceptionally clean. We wished the pool was open and wish the elevator didn't have an odd smell but definitely giving this a rating of excellent based on the vibe and cleanliness. (Side note the bed was more comfortable than home!)

Located very close to the national historical park and the highway. It was a nice clean room and the place was quiet. Parking was fine although some of the lines in the parking lot need to be repainted as they are hard to see at night. I would stay here again.

Pros: the room was clean, there is a refrigerator/beverage cooler in the room. Hallways relatively quiet. Woman who checked us in was extremely pleasant. Shower head was high, water was pleasantly hot. It is just a few minutes ride to all the historical attractions in Lexington and Concord. Cons: No hooks or towel bars (what do you do with the damp towels?). No microwave. No night/dim light for those who get up during the night - turning on the big lights woke others up. No free breakfast, though regular coffee was available all day.. Charged CC $50/day for possible incidentals, and will refund if we don't use it (What)?

I gave this a bad rating due to staff going into the room after the door hanger on the door stated not to enter. Found two cribs in our room when we got back to the hotel, we did not travel with children nor did we request cribs to be put into our room. Spoke to the front desk and the gentleman that was there didn’t not care that someone had entered our room with out our knowledge. Pretty much said it can happen and there is nothing they can do about it. Pretty upsetting that when a door hanger is on the door to not enter the room and they do anyways and the staff pretty much say on it is what it is. Is not ok

We have stayed here many times with no complaints however this time was different. First, there were no food offerings in the morning as before with no explanation as to why. Not even coffee. There was a power outage one evening and the emergency generator did not engage. I had to climb to the 3rd floor on my just recently healed broken ankles. No help or explanation was offered by staff. Spent all night in the dark and no devices were charging. The room landline was also out. I shudder to think what would have happened if we had a true emergency with no means of communication. The next morning when questioned about electrical service the staff member said it would be handled when the assistant manager arrived at 11 am. Seriously? Wouldn’t management have been on scene when there was a known problem? Never again!
