Hotel Indigo DALI ERHAI by IHG

The room was fantastic, offering a 140-degree sea view that captured half of Erhai Lake. Every morning, drawing the curtains revealed a beautiful tripartite panorama of sky, sea, and land, with shades of grey and blue perfectly blending together—a truly visually awakening experience! Traveling with elderly parents and children, we opted for twin beds. The room wasn't huge, but the amenities were incredibly comprehensive. The wet/dry separation and built-in bathtub design were very thoughtful. The sliding-door vanity mirror was also a clever touch; whenever you wanted, you could face Erhai Lake while getting ready! The service was even more attentive. Before we even got to the hotel entrance from the car, the lobby staff were already at our vehicle, checking if we had luggage, and immediately helped us take it to our room. The smart robot delivery also ensured precise point-to-point delivery for our takeout. The second-floor hotel lobby was spacious and cozy, exuding an undeniable sophisticated charm. Sitting there for a few minutes to enjoy the view was an excellent experience. Hidden within the surrounding villa area were several unique local restaurants; remember to search for them on review apps so you don't miss out. Finally, I have to praise the lovely front desk lady. Knowing I collect room key cards, she gave me a complete set of local-themed ones along with a luggage tag charm—they were beautiful! Indigo is definitely a great choice!

Our stay at Indigo Dali Erhai Tianyu was fantastic! The location is superb, right across the road from the Erhai Lake ecological corridor, perfect for a leisurely stroll by the sea. Our high-floor sea view room offered expansive views, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake – we could watch both sunrise and sunset from bed. The room was well-appointed with thoughtful details like a Dyson hairdryer, Shanghai Tang toiletries, and a complimentary mini-bar. The breakfast buffet was extensive, featuring local Dali specialties like rice noodles and Rubing cheese, and we enjoyed our meal with a beautiful sea view from the window seats. The rooftop infinity pool is great for photos, and the service was attentive, with efficient check-in. It's suitable for both couples and families, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Dali. Highly recommended!

The hotel staff offered excellent service, proactively helping with luggage. The room offered views of Erhai Lake (situated by the road), but for a quieter stay, the inner rooms provide mountain views. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were quite good. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.

The sea view is unbeatable. Even though it's on a busy street, you can barely hear any noise once the windows are closed. It's a shame the breakfast area doesn't have a sea view, but it's nice that you're seated and don't have to find your own table. The pool is great with an incredible view. Didn't see any kids' entertainment facilities though.

The hotel's biggest highlight is the view, but the room is quite small and the decor is average. Other facilities, including dining, family entertainment, gym, and swimming, are all pretty comprehensive, making it suitable for family trips.

Facilities: The location is superb, right by Erhai Lake with breathtaking views. Hygiene: Five-star standard. The gym and indoor pool are excellent, and there's even a soaking tub. A rare and relaxing experience, definitely worth revisiting.

A hotel by Erhai Lake, close to the city center and the train station, with convenient amenities nearby. The room offers great views, and the breakfast is good. While attractions might be a bit further away, the hotel's environment and service make up for it.

When I came to Dali this time, I looked at a lot of scenic hotels and finally played it safe by choosing the Indigo Hotel Dali. In terms of location, the hotel is right on the coastal avenue by Erhai Lake. The view is excellent, and there are many dining options nearby. The hotel generally maintains Indigo's consistent design aesthetic. The lobby design has a strong Dali character, and the public areas facing Erhai Lake are impressive. The overall check-in experience and service were decent and up to standard. The small gift given at checkout was a thoughtful touch. This stay was in a 180-degree balcony lake view room. The overall room size isn't huge; including the balcony, it's over 40 square meters, but the indoor space feels a bit cramped. The amenities are the familiar Indigo brand, and the bedding is good, although the bed isn't very large. The room has a complimentary minibar, which is a plus. Of course, the room's biggest feature and value is the view directly facing Erhai Lake. The 180-degree lake view coupled with good weather made me overlook any other minor issues with the hotel. However, the first-row lake view also means street noise, and even with the glass, there was still some noise. Regarding dining, I only experienced the complimentary afternoon tea this time. Since it was free, I can't complain; it was an average afternoon tea, haha. There are many Yunnan restaurants around the hotel. The hotel itself has a buffet restaurant, which you can try if you don't want to go out. Overall, if you want a great view and don't want to risk a bad guesthouse, choosing Indigo Hotel Dali is a safe bet for Erhai Lake. The overall service maintained its standard. The view is absolutely stunning. For those prioritizing the view, I recommend starting with the 180-degree view room types, and it's best to choose floors 6 and above for a better overall experience.

The overall location, environment, pool, rooms, and even the intern staff were all great! Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the room type I was assigned. And having to queue for breakfast at a five-star hotel (or above) is something I've never encountered in the entire country before. I hope they continue to operate with care, standardize their management, and treat guests with sincerity. Only then will word-of-mouth spread and things get better and better!
