Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu

Ever since I received such warm assistance from the Shangri-La during the pandemic, I've chosen this hotel every time I visit Chengdu. Although the hotel is a bit older, all its facilities are very well-maintained. The gym has a full range of high-quality equipment, and the changing rooms offer both steam and dry saunas, as well as a hot tub, definitely meeting a five-star standard. Towels are always plentiful. Housekeeping is punctual every day, and there's even a turn-down service between 6 and 7 PM. I find the breakfast quite good, with a variety of options including Japanese cuisine. The location is also excellent; for younger, more energetic guests, the Lan Kwai Fong bar street is just 100 meters to the right of the hotel. All things considered, the Shangri-La remains one of the top hotels in Chengdu.

Upon arrival, I was told they couldn't offer a complimentary breakfast for my child, and suggested I upgrade to a family suite to get three meals. I just want to interject here that the Shangri-La hotels in Zhejiang always provide a free breakfast for my child, so I feel the Chengdu Shangri-La is a bit stingy. The room itself was fine and clean, but the food at the Horizon Club was quite mediocre, and the drink selection was very limited. So, booking the Horizon Club didn't feel like good value for money.

Excellent location with convenient transportation. The service attitude is very good. The breakfast is rich and of guaranteed quality. The room facilities are comfortable. Shangri-La is the best choice for travel.

I chose to stay here for a one-night layover in Chengdu. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Lan Kwai Fong, and the area is lively at night. The room was clean and tidy, not very big, but the floor-toceiling window offered a good view. There were welcome snacks, but the quality was just so-so. Overall, the exterior decoration felt more impressive than the interior; the lobby was grand and opulent, and the handrails in the elevator area had a bamboo-shaped design, showing good attention to detail. The overall experience was decent.

Perfect for a multi-generational family trip! The rooms were spacious and bright, and the kitchen and dining area were incredibly convenient. A special shout-out and thank you to the service staff on the fifth floor who were responsible for room cleaning – they kept the room spotless! They always delivered things with a smile and were so sweet with the kids. It felt so warm and welcoming~

The service was very attentive, and the location and transportation were very convenient. The breakfast was especially rich. I will definitely book again next time.

An established five-star hotel with an excellent location. The breakfast spread is incredibly rich, and the service is reliable. When we changed from a triple to a double room mid-stay, the handsome guy at the front desk thoughtfully arranged for us to stay in our original room. Xiao Ping and Xiao Deng both provided very attentive service.

Had a very comfortable stay with excellent facilities. The breakfast was plentiful and definitely worth having. Most importantly, there were lots of pandas nearby, and some great coffee shops too. Thumbs up to Seven for the great service!
