Kempinski Hotel Xiamen

Saw a rave review on Xiaohongshu praising the lake-view room’s window scenery, so I booked a city-view room by mistake on Day 1—but switched to a lake-view room on Day 2. Luckily, it was low season, and the front desk assigned us great views both days. The city-view room on Day 1 was fine—no noticeable odor—but the lake-view room on Day 2 had a slight musty smell (the only real downside). Staff were all friendly and helpful. Overall, I think it’s an excellent value for the price: great views, convenient location, solid service, and spotless cleanliness. Among hotels of the same star rating, this one is easily the most affordable—and honestly, you’d be hard-pressed to find better value.

The hotel decor is very elegant, the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive.

Located right downtown by Yuandang Lake in an iconic sail-shaped building, the lake-view room offers breathtaking vistas overlooking Yuandang Lake and Bailuzhou Park—the evening scenery is simply delightful. Not far from the subway station, it's very convenient for business trips or exploring the city center, making it a great choice for those who prefer to avoid the crowds around Gulangyu Island.

It's been a while since I last stayed at Kempinski. Although the property has some years on it, the overall hardware is still reasonably well-maintained. I was kindly upgraded to a better room upon check-in, and the breakfast was exceptionally rich and varied. The location is fantastic, making it very convenient for both leisure and business travel.

The hotel's location is fantastic, I was very happy with the room, the breakfast was excellent, and overall it was a great experience!

The hotel room was very spacious, and the location was excellent, right next to Bailuzhou Island. The front desk upgraded us to a lake view room for free, and the view was fantastic. The hotel staff were all very enthusiastic and provided thoughtful service. I'll definitely stay here again.

The service is still thoughtful and attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, with very convenient transportation, and the Metro Line 1 is very close. The hotel breakfast is also very good, with a rich variety. Highly recommended!

This is quite a grand five-star hotel. Although it's a bit old, it still retains its five-star charm. The lake-view room is spacious, and the facilities are good. The swimming pool is quite large. The breakfast is definitely the most commendable part.

The room was pretty good, and the breakfast here was quite rich with prompt service. The cleaning was also thorough. They even had honey at breakfast, which was a first for me and quite unique.
