A rather disappointing stay as particularly the lack of airconditioning is unacceptable in these kind of weather (certainly in a room under the roof). Add to that the lack of an elevator and the small and shabby rooms and bad mattress and you understand that this will not become my hotel of choice. Note: the reason for not a lower rating was the friendly staff and good breakfast.

Beautifully located in a green area with rooms in the main building, walking up an old wooden pair of stairs in the hallway. Rooms are decorated in a fitting style for a castle but a little bit worn. We stayed 2 times 1 night: in a 'normal' room and once in the suite. Normal room had windows opening to a shared balcony where every room had a table and 2 chairs Suite was a corner room with your own balcony. However, the neighbouring room had a bathroom window opening up to our balcony with very loud cleaning staff operating there with the window opening, so bit of lack of privacy. Beds are comfy and nice, rooms are nicely decorated in style with nespresso machines but specifically bathrooms are a bit worn - cracks in wash basin, oldfashioned jacuzzi tub with a basic shower head hanging in the corner, almost above the toilet. So showering had to happen whilst you cramped yourself in the corner of the bathtub and then toilet plus toilet paper became wet. Tiles etc also from a long time ago. Atmosphere in the castle is very nice, green surroundings, good parking. You can book a good breakfast so nice place for an overnight stay

Beautiful hotel in the middle of wonderful nature with lovely Zeist so close and vibrant Utrect only at 14km cycling distance. Nice rooms (although the bathroom in room 40 is verrrry small), friendly staff, personal touch, very nice diner and breakfast, great hospitality. Surroundings are stunning and the Dutch cycling infrastructure is - as always - great.

nice hotel, room is very small the bed is not suitable for 2 persons. the restaurant is very good. highly recommend

A charming setting with a characterful castle architecture. The staff is kind and efficient, and the breakfast is very good, served in a bright and pleasant space. However, soundproofing should be improved in the rooms, as well as the placement of the mirror and power outlet in the bathroom.

Me and my friend came to eat diner. Unfortunately I was dissapointed. We paid 150 euros but I left still hungry. The dishes were so small, one fitted in a spoon. I told the waiter, but there was no reaction. Yes, what I could do is order something more. What a pitty

We had a difficult medical appointment the following day and decided to splurge and stay in a hotel. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The dinner, the setting, the breakfast. The staff was beyond helpful. It was truly a nice day. The only caveat was that there’s no air-conditioning in the room was warm, but it cooled off at night.
