Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives

Sun Siyam Olhuveli Maldives is made up of three islands, offering ample space. Both the beach villas and water villas are standalone units, featuring large interiors and beautiful decor. The balconies provide direct access to the sea for swimming and water play. The buffet offers a wide variety of delicious food, and there are several paid restaurants available. There's a dive center where you can enjoy both snorkeling and scuba diving, though these activities come at an extra cost. With multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, badminton courts, and ping-pong tables, the leisure facilities are comprehensive. The service attitude of every staff member is excellent. Overall, the experience was fantastic and well worth it!

The sea was truly beautiful, and the room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly, and the food was delicious, making for a relaxing and happy vacation!

The bedding was dirty, with stains on the sheets and pillowcases in both the beach and overwater villas. The room design itself was great. The restaurant food was not good, especially the breakfast restaurant on the new island – nothing tasted good, and there were so many flies. They often forgot to restock many drinks in the room fridge, so if you've purchased a drink package, remember to ask them to fully stock it for you in advance.

The environment and facilities are excellent, and the food variety is rich and delicious. Swimming in the water villa's private pool is great, and you can directly access the sea for swimming and snorkeling from your balcony. At night, many fish (including sharks) swim under the balcony, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a sea turtle. The staff are also very friendly, especially the Chinese-speaking staff members who were wonderful. However, I need to complain about our butler, Mayumi (the front desk said she's a girl, not a Chinese-speaking butler). After we arrived at the resort, we waited for over an hour for our butler to show up. After we repeatedly contacted the front desk, they said the butler might be busy and found another butler to help us with the check-in process. It took almost two hours for us to finally get into our room. We had planned to tip the butler when we first met them, hoping for better service later on, but we stayed on the island for two nights and three days and never once saw our assigned butler. Her only 'service' was a single WeChat message telling us to contact the front desk (see picture). While all the other staff members were excellent, I can only give the service one star.

I chose this hotel for my stay! Everything was great, the food was varied, and the grounds were large and well-maintained. I recommend it!
