China Hotel

The location is fantastic, my top choice for business trips! Downstairs is Exit D of Yuexiu Park Station on Line 2, and if you walk west across the road, you'll reach Liuhua Station on Line 11. To the north, you have the Canton Fair complex, and to the east, Yuexiu Park. There's also a famous food street downstairs, along with plenty of coffee shops and dessert stores. You can tell the hotel is quite old, with a dedicated exhibition hall on the first floor showcasing its history. However, apart from slightly lower ceilings and a retro decor, the rooms don't feel dated at all; it seems like it was renovated just a few years ago. The breakfast selection is incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, plus a Middle Eastern section and a Japanese corner. The only downside is the poor quality of the beans for the freshly ground coffee, and the brewed coffee wasn't much better. It's hard to imagine a five-star hotel having such unpalatable coffee… The rooms only come with drip coffee and instant coffee. For a suite, I'd expect at least a capsule coffee machine. The Executive Lounge is made up of small, individual rooms, so the ambiance is quite ordinary. The white wine was good, but if you have breakfast in the lounge, there are no live cooking stations and very limited choices, so it's better to go to the second floor.

The room was spacious and the hotel was lovely. The only downside was the incredibly foul smell coming from the bathroom – a really strong sewer odor that was quite overwhelming. On the bright side, the hotel is right next to a subway entrance, and the breakfast was excellent. The only real issue was that bathroom smell and the kids' play area, which was far too small.

I'm writing this letter specifically to commend your employee, Katrina Lu, and also to sincerely praise the hotel's outstanding performance in all aspects. The hotel's location is truly exceptional, situated in the city center, making it very convenient for getting around, dining, and shopping. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the soundproofing is good, ensuring a restful stay. The hotel's cuisine is rich and delicious; both breakfast and other meals were very much to our liking. The overall service was professional and courteous, and we felt meticulous care everywhere. I especially want to thank Katrina Lu! We were traveling with elderly family members who are a bit slow-moving. After she understood our situation, she was very considerate and proactively helped us apply for a late check-out, so we didn't have to rush and could fully accommodate the seniors' energy levels. She was also very enthusiastic and patiently and thoroughly introduced us to nearby attractions, authentic local cuisine, and transportation routes. The information was practical and down-to-earth, greatly assisting our trip. Her service wasn't just a mechanical process; it came from a genuine desire to consider the guests' needs, fully demonstrating China Hotel's excellent management standards and staff qualities. Such a dedicated and good employee deserves strong recognition! I kindly request the General Manager to commend Katrina Lu, and if conditions permit, I hope she can be given a bonus as encouragement. Convenient location, great breakfast, and warm service. They even gave us a complimentary suite upgrade when they saw we were traveling with a child. Overall, a fantastic stay!

We checked in on the morning of the 2nd, and the front desk staff, Sandy, was incredibly attentive. Seeing that we had a child with us, she proactively and thoughtfully upgraded our room and even provided a complimentary children's breakfast, which was completely beyond our expectations. The room was clean and tidy, the facilities were well-maintained, and the overall environment was quiet and comfortable. Sandy was efficient in processing our check-in and had a gentle demeanor. She paid great attention to the details, considering our needs while traveling with a child. Our stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!

The hotel's location is excellent, right above two subway lines. The staff are courteous and highly professional. I will definitely choose China Hotel Guangzhou again for my next stay.

The service was excellent. This was my first stay, and everything from the buffet dinner and breakfast selection to the Executive Lounge and hotel lobby service was top-notch. I especially want to commend the dinner service; all the staff were incredibly attentive. The food and restaurant service really made me love this hotel. I had a very comfortable stay and will likely choose China Hotel again next time. It's also very close to the Museum of the Nanyue King and Yuexiu Park, making city walks very convenient.
