Hilton Providence

This Hilton Providence was almost finished after having a renovation. It is very nice, bed was very comfortable and room lovely. We had advised that we needed to check in early or leave our luggage as had to catch a bus to Gillette stadium for Scotland v Haiti game. This was arranged. We didn't check that there wasn't a kettle, cups, tea spoons or tea bags until we returned from the match around 2am in the morning. There was a coffee machine with no instructions. It iwas expensive to stay at this hotel as prices were inflated for the World Cup and find it hard to believe you cannot even make a cup of tea. Also we were getting ready to depart well before departure time of 11am when a cleaner was wanting to clean the room. Further to this when we checked out we requested a copy of the charge put on our credit card for incidentals which we did not use. The receptionist said she couldn't do that but would email a receipt but what was sent was a receipt showing zero. No mention of the amount held on our card. Quite disappointing for supposedly a world class Hotel Chain.

Pros: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch. The breakfast was delicious, and interestingly, it worked like a regular restaurant where you get a bill and hand over the voucher you received at check-in. The location was great. Cons: They said construction noise would only continue until 5 PM, but I heard several loud, machine-like noises well past 8 PM. I almost asked to change rooms, but the noise eventually died down so I let it go. Also, there were two bottles of water in the room, but unless you’re a Hilton Silver member or above, they charge $3 each. If I had other options, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I was very disappointed at this 4 STAR Hotel. Wifi didn’t work. There was constructions going on in the early hours. Staff were nice but didn’t go above and beyond. There were too many issues. I didn’t enjoy my stay

Great location, walkable to a lot, only stayed one night. Room was very musty, but we got one in a corner with a decent view. I purchased a king room; upon arrival, none was available, and got downgraded to a queen-size. Service desk was helpful however. Construction noise from posted sign was minimal. In-room coffee in the lobby for a while in the morning. Small mini-fridge only.

Great place to stay, however be mindful of parking, because staff aren't to avoid street /lot parking fines.

Rooms are clean but outdated

Neat hotel with basic needs. Nothing special but does the job.

It met my expectations but I realized that I overpaid for the room because I booked too early:(
