Hotel Du Lac et Bellevue

Lovely hotel in a good location, right on the lakefront and close enough to the centre of Bardolino. Handy to have a Supermarket opposite. Friendly, helpful staff throughout. All areas were well kept and spotlessly clean. Excellent pools - plus don’t miss the amazing new spa! Some areas were a little dated, but it didn’t affect our stay. Overall an excellent experience!

Lovely hotel well presented looks out over lake Garda. It’s just off a main road which has a great supermarket on but you don’t hear any traffic noise (suppose it depends on where your room is). I asked why our room didn’t have a balcony so check what you have booked. Balconies that face the pool and Lake seem to be the best, apparently ones on the other side can be noisy. We kept our balcony free room but could go to the end of the corridor and there was a balcony there (we think a smokers one). Fabulous pool and facilities all looked new. Food and dinner is good. Some days better than others. We found the staff pleasant and helpful. Do go to the olive oil museum, we enjoyed it.

The hotel is an an enviable position close to the lake and a short walk to the centre. Our room was large with views of the lake but very dated immaculately clean the bed was a super king there are no USB chargers in the room at all there is a kettle which is nice. Our air conditioning did not work on the first night I told reception the next day no change told them again and was told it would take longer to sort. This kept going for 5 days we were only staying a week, the room got down to 22.5!! still warm for us I have to say this was disappointing. The food was very hit and miss one meat option of various beef, veal, duck and pork and one fish swordfish, salmon and others and one vegetarian dish on the Italian night there was no vegetarian option on the menu so we ate out I mentioned this to the waiter the next day and was told I should have asked for the vegetarian menu (I didn’t know one actually existed), after that we did order from it, but not a great selection. Money has been spent on the pools and outside areas which are lovely but I think they would have been better starting with all the rooms first. Shame it could be brilliant it’s just average.

My partner and I arrived home yesterday from our anniversary trip and have already booked to come back in October for her birthday. I tend not to go back to the same place, however, we loved the location, staff, and atmosphere so much we immediately booked a return trip. We booked less than a day after arriving home ☺️ We stayed in a Junior top suite Bellevue on the top floor (piano 3) with a fantastic balcony and lake view. We have actually requested the same room when we return as we loved it so much. Great hotel, fantastic location, wonderful staff, and stunning views. They even brought us fizz on our balcony for our anniversary. Amazing experience and we can't wait to return.

The location is great 10 minutes walk from the centre of Bardolino with its great restaurants and ferry. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed in the Bellevue block with a lake view. The room while being dated in style was well maintained and very clean. We will return.

The location of this hotel is good. However I wish I’d been advised that the room I had booked was off site and not within the hotel. As it was an apartment it was ridiculous being charged for breakfast as we had to walk 8 mins to the hotel. It said access to the pool again it was an 8 minute walk to the hotel and when we got there not one sun bed was available. It basically ruined the holiday. The apartment was spacious but in a residential block. With a tiny balcony that could just fit 2 people in it. All in all very disappointing

We came back to Bellevue & duLac for a leisure trip, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel, staff and services were excellent once again. The location is also ideal as it allows quick connection by bus to south and north Lake Garda, but also connections by ferry to Sirmione and the west lake coast. The hotel has a renovated pool and a fantastic wellness centre.

This hotel is perfectly location right on Lake Garda in Bardolino. The hotel is family friendly and just a few minutes walk to Bardolino center. The pool and wellness center are newly renovated - beautiful. The breakfast was really high quality, with great products and service. I would love to return again some day!

We absolutely loved this hotel and both my husband and I agreed this was probably one of our most favourite holidays. The location of the hotel couldn’t have been better set right next to the lake. The footpath which runs all along this section of the lake from Garda to Lazise with Bardolino in the middle was just lovely and perfect for a gentle stroll in the evening after dinner or, when feeling more energetic, doing a longer walk to Garda, Cesano or Lazise during the day. We hired electric bikes from the hotel on one occasion which was great fun! The hotel has a very nice pool and spa area but it was so hot during our stay that we preferred to use the hotel’s little private jetty to enter the lake and swim with the ducks! The lake was refreshingly cool. The staff at the hotel were fabulous and you could tell they really wanted to make sure guests had the best time possible. Nothing was too much trouble for them. If you asked them a question and they didn’t know the answer they went off and found the answer. Our room was in the main hotel building and I did email in advance and up-grade our room to one with a balcony. The room was a good size and had lots of wardrobe and storage space, which so many hotels don’t have. The bathroom was a really good size too and everything was spotlessly clean. We had tea and coffee facilities in the room which was great. The food at the hotel was very good and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast. There was so much choice. We went HB and again the food was excellent. The only thing we would change if we could was the fact you were allocated the same table each night meaning you were sitting next to the same people each evening. Luckily, we had delightful people each side but had we had someone annoying (or someone found us annoying!) this could have been an issue. Having never been to Lake Garda before we were blown away by how beautiful it was and are already looking forward to going back. We will be returning next year as we still have so much more to explore and we will definitely be returning to the Hotel du Lac. Thank you to everyone at the hotel who made our holiday so memorable. It takes a lot of hardwork to run a hotel as efficiently as you do whilst still making guests feel at home and relaxed and wanting to return. You were all stars.
