The Ritz-Carlton, Tianjin

The most expensive hotel in Tianjin. Every time I visit, I find myself reluctant to splurge, but this time I just went for it! I had to experience it. The lobby is absolutely stunning, the room is breathtaking, and the balcony is gorgeous. My view was a bit plain though, just facing the inner circle of the building. The service lady enthusiastically showed me around the room, just like during a hotel inspection. I have to highlight the chandelier and ceiling in my room: Magnificent! Even the elevator decor was astounding. The paintings, ceramics, and little lions in the lobby were a perfect mix and match. If only they could give me a souvenir like at Lishunde! 😁

The hotel facilities are great, the environment is beautiful, and the soft furnishings in the lobby and on the floors are very pretty – excellent! 👍👍 The service is superb; all the staff I interacted with were enthusiastic and proactive, including those in the lobby, executive lounge, breakfast restaurant, and even the complimentary car driver. It's truly commendable that they've maintained such a high standard and quality after more than a decade of operation. Thank you!

I booked two executive deluxe rooms; my previous review already covered the initial stay. This one is mainly to highlight the hotel's excellent follow-up service. I left behind my charger and jacket when checking out, and the hotel proactively sent them to me via SF Express with payment on delivery, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. While dining at the Executive Lounge, a staff member mentioned that we could send postcards. My child and I both picked our favorite cards. I sent one to a friend, and my child took a few after doodling on them – it was a lot of fun. Following the staff's guidance, we also visited the Sky Garden. My little one, who kept calling it a 'castle hotel' this time, got to visit many areas, and we'll definitely be back.

I came to Tianjin for a concert and brought my family along to explore. The hotel's location is excellent, right on Jiefang North Road, which has a beautiful streetscape, and it's also very close to the Haihe River. From the concierge to the front desk, and even the restaurant staff and room service, every aspect of the service exceeded our expectations – attentive, thoughtful, and warm. I originally booked a standard suite, but was lucky enough to be upgraded to a Carlton Suite. It was super spacious and bright, with views of the garden downstairs and the Astor Hotel next door. The room showed some age, but was well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The breakfast selection was quite diverse, with many Tianjin specialties, so we didn't need to go out of our way to find them. My child loved the unlimited ice cream, and the beef ramen was delicious. The steakhouse on the first floor also served very tasty food with generous portions. My family and children were all very satisfied with this stay. If we visit Tianjin again, we will definitely choose The Ritz-Carlton.

Excellent! The service was exceptional; all staff members were proactive in offering help as soon as you approached them. The environment was clean, the location was superb, and the castle-like architecture made it really fun and engaging. My kids absolutely loved it.

This is my third time in Tianjin, and I still chose The Ritz-Carlton. Everything was as comfortable as ever. Riding a bike back along Jiefang North Road in the evening was incredibly pleasant. I'd say it's probably the top hotel choice in Tianjin, and the price isn't even that expensive.

This hotel is truly unique with its European style. I booked a super deluxe king room, and the bed was an incredible 2.7 meters wide! The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and there's a balcony with a beautiful night view. The breakfast even offered a variety of Tianjin local snacks.

Because I've been quite fond of the Ritz's little lion recently 🦁, I decided to arrange a weekend trip to the Tianjin Ritz. It happened to be our anniversary, so I booked a room in advance. After booking, the hotel called to discuss our needs. Knowing it was our anniversary, they even decorated the room a bit and sent a small cake. Since the hotel was quite busy that day, we weren't given a free room upgrade. We booked the Ritz Kids' Wild Exploration room, which is essentially a deluxe king room with a tent package. If you book a deluxe king room, you can add the tent (with the little lion backpack and toy) for an extra 300+ RMB. The kids absolutely loved it, and the tent was big enough for an adult to sleep in comfortably. If it were a suite, the tent would be the pointed-top one 🏕️. We were checked in by Mandy at the front desk, who was beautiful, kind, and meticulous in her service. After checking in, we exchanged WeChat details for easier communication; her service was warm and thoughtful. I feel like every staff member at the Ritz is enthusiastic and friendly, and the ladies are all very gentle. ❤️❤️ The overall environment is fantastic, and it's great for taking photos. You can customize your room key card; if you provide a simple sketch, they can put it on the card, and you can take it with you when you check out – a wonderful travel souvenir. The only minor drawback was a slight smell in the hallway, possibly due to humidity, like a mix of carpet and wood. It wasn't in the room, just in the hallway. The turndown service gift was just a small rose tea bag, which felt a bit underwhelming. Also, the hotel doesn't have a dedicated play area for children, and the children's toothbrush quality wasn't great, with some bristles falling out. But these are minor issues that don't detract from the overall experience. I would still choose the Ritz next time I come to Tianjin!

This was my first stay at a Ritz-Carlton, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I'm someone who values service immensely, and from the moment my husband and I walked towards the lobby, we were greeted by staff. Every single employee, from check-in onwards, was incredibly polite and gentle. The next morning, during breakfast, they thoughtfully asked what I needed, which made the whole experience fantastic. Thank you, Ritz-Carlton! I'll definitely be back if I get the chance!
