Yangshuo Sugar House

🏔️😱 Don’t know how it was possible, but this hotel was even more beautiful in real life than the photos. Built inside a renovated historic sugar factory, Yangshuo Sugar House combines the refined aesthetics of the mountain landscape with historical architectural elegance. ✨ 🚙🌾 The hotel offers various free and at-cost activities you can book through their concierge. We wanted to go see the Longji Rice Steps during our stay, which is about an 2.5 hour drive away from Yangshuo by car. I messaged the hotel the day before we arrived and they were able to arrange a private driver to take us there and back over an 8 hour trip. Mr. Qin was amazing and very kind! He took us directly to buy the tickets and then drove us to the entrance point of the cable car. There was pretty extreme rain on the way back and he got us down the mountain very efficiently. It was an extremely memorable day which was only made possible by the hotel’s extraordinary attentive drivers and diligent concierge staff. ⭐️ 🍴The room comes with a daily buffet breakfast, free soft drinks, and fruit. The hotel restaurant is good, but breakfast is really where the food shines. So many delicious options to choose from, and there was adorable panda shaped buns 🐼 📸 The hotel also offers free travel photography on the premises, which takes about 30~ minutes and you receive 5 free photos, with additional available to purchase at 50 yuan. It was fun and very efficient! 🌸 Overall, a major highlight of our China trip & we wish we had stayed longer. Thank you again!

Thanks to him, I have the best vacation and very delicious pasta!!) Wonderful hotel employee LUCY is simply charming, she immediately signed me up for a ride on bamboo rafts and did a fireworks display 🎆!!!! She told me everything about the history of the hotel and I bought the book!!!! I dream of building a hotel in Russia!!! And this trip was a great inspiration for me!!!!! Sugar House was one of the highlights of our trip to China. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere special. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending contemporary luxury with its historic surroundings in a way that feels both unique and peaceful. Our room was spacious, stylish and extremely comfortable, with stunning views over the karst landscape. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Yangshuo. The food was outstanding throughout our stay. Breakfast offered a great selection of both Chinese and Western options, and every meal we had at the hotel restaurant was beautifully prepared using excellent local ingredients. Everything was consistently excellent and a real highlight of our stay. What really elevated our experience, however, was the exceptional service. Every member of staff was warm, welcoming and genuinely eager to help. They assisted us in arranging transport and offered excellent recommendations for exploring the surrounding area, making everything effortless. The location was perfect for us—peaceful and secluded, yet within easy reach of Yangshuo’s incredible scenery. We spent the day rafting on the Yulong River, visiting Fuli Bridge, Moon Hill and Xingping, before returning to relax by the beautiful riverside pool each evening. It was the ideal balance of adventure and tranquillity. Sugar House is much more than a luxury hotel; it is a destination in its own right. We left wishing we had booked an extra night and would not hesitate to return. It is a truly exceptional place that we will remember for a very long time.
