Overall good experience, shower water pressure bit weak, no WiFi connection in the room

The room was not cleaned at all. We found a papa John’s pizza in the drawer and there was dog food on the floor (clearly from previous guests). We also found flowers and small sticks from outside on the floor. Very obvious that all was done was making our beds prior to our arrival. We asked for our sheets to get changed but housekeeping leaves at 11am. My son got sick from the breakfast that was offered and got some type of stomach bug since he was throwing up for the past 48hrs since we fed him the breakfast. The staff were polite & nice but overall the stay was horrible and I couldn’t wait to get home. The parking lot had loads of pot holes and there were beer bottles and trash thrown in the grass near the parking lot. Lastly they have a sign that says the door on the side is always locked and you require your key card to get in. It is not. It was wide open for anyone to enter so the premises is not safe. Never again.

Had to go to front desk to figure out how to turn on the shower. They had a laminated placard with a diagram which tells me they get the question all the time and begs the question, why not have the diagram in the room?

Loved the staff, informative, friendly, prompt. Renovations and closed area were a downfall, but I guess in the long run I’m happy for improvement. I can’t be too judgmental for a midnight check in and 6 am check out.

Parking was easy to find a spot. Staff were very nice especially at the Tavern restaurant. Breakfast was a good selection. Rooms were clean.

Stay was good except for the dog in the next room who barked and howled during the night. We were not told it allowed pets. One incident with outsiders meeting in lobby and caused a commotion. Front desk handeled very well. Room was clean, breakfast good, staff friendly and building secure.

My room was next to the train tracks. I was in CT for a conference and got zero sleep due to hearing the train so loud

The room was clean, but you can really see the age of the building. The beds were clean, the bathroom was clean but is in need of repair (tile is moldy, drain stop missing, tub, two different colors, and rust around the door and toilet. The staff was very accommodating and helped us check in early. We had a little issue with the in room ac unit and it was replaced on the spot by maintenance staff. The bad began once we got our bags into our room as the adjacent room had very noisy guest who were playing music loudly and we could hear the children running and yelling; the staff was able to get them to quiet down and after 3rd time the noise stopped; music played all night and can hear people talking all night. We began winding down and were headed to the pool when we noticed it was “out of service” which was the main reason for our stay. After speaking with the front desk, we decided to stay due to the time and lack of availability of other hotels in the area. We found out there is a train track right behind the hotel which you can both hear and feel the trembling in our second floor room. Overall our experience was good, just a lot of frustration as none of these things were pointed out in the description or warned prior to our arrival the pool was not operational. As of 2/14/2026 the pool is broken. Check out was easy, breakfast was good.
