We stayed two nights at Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono for our anniversary and would rate it 4.9 out of 5. We originally booked a king room with mountain view, which had no private onsen, and when I asked about an upgrade the hotel said they were fully booked but promised a surprise. On arrival we asked again, and because a cancellation had come through, they let us pay the difference to move into a suite. The suite’s highlight was a large indoor onsen with a glass wall facing Mount Yotei, and since we had that private bath we did not use the public one. Our stay fell during a Japanese holiday, so there were short fireworks on both nights; we watched the first from our room and the second downstairs. We tried the teppanyaki and robatayaki restaurants, where the food was solid and up to hotel standard but not especially memorable. For activities, Mountain Lights by gondola was beautiful at night, while the three-section zipline was a must-do and truly memorable. On departure we asked about transport to the JR station and learned the hotel offers a free shuttle; the young driver was steady, responsible, and even carried our luggage up the stairs to the station entrance. The only minor letdowns were the dining and the uncertain upgrade process, but the room, onsen, views, service, and activities were excellent. One tip: book early, as this hotel is very hard to reserve, especially during holidays and ski season.

An absolutely wonderful stay! A big thank you to the hotel for the complimentary room upgrade for my birthday, and the delightful surprise of a birthday cake. Taeyang, a male staff member at the front desk, spoke excellent English and was very polite. The hotel facilities are top-notch, with a great selection of outdoor activities. Overall, my stay was 100% perfect, and I had a truly unforgettable birthday trip! 😚😋

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono is the pinnacle of the Park Hyatt brand. From the decor, design, onsen, skiing, to the dining… everything about it is incredibly satisfying. The room size is generous, the design is well-thought-out, and the selection of amenities, bed, pillows, internet, and bathroom… all are top-notch, truly outstanding in every aspect. The hotel's restaurants are also world-class; whether it's French cuisine, Japanese dishes, Chinese food, or even the lobby lounge, all maintain an exceptionally high standard. A flawless hotel.

I booked this hotel for a round at Hanazono Golf, and it was by far the worst service I've ever experienced at a Japanese hotel. If convenience for skiing or golf is your priority, you might consider it. However, the room cleaning was not thorough; there were cobwebs and dust, and one of the curtains couldn't be lowered. Here are my main impressions of the hotel's service: 1) The hotel refused to help book a golf course. Although I later saw Hanazono Golf packages advertised in my room, fellow golfers can contact the course directly via email – they respond promptly and efficiently. 2) When checking in at the front desk, I was directed to wait on a lobby sofa for 15 minutes, told that I would be attended to later. It wasn't until I saw subsequent guests checking in and heading to their rooms that I approached the counter myself. Only then did I realize the staff had forgotten about us. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for another group of guests to be processed before it was finally our turn.

This is a great option for a summer getaway. There are plenty of facilities for kids to play with, and while the zip line has age and weight restrictions, the other activities are also excellent. Summer isn't quite as stunning as winter, but it's still very good.

This is one of the best hotels in the Niseko area in terms of both size and rating. The staff are friendly, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options. Highly recommended for a quiet summer retreat or during the winter ski season.

This is my favorite Park Hyatt I've ever stayed at. The best part is that the room had two bathrooms, which was incredibly convenient when traveling with a child. The activity center next to the hotel offered a wide range of activities; we did rafting and tree trekking, and it was excellent value for money. My 8-year-old had an absolute blast.

We had a wonderful 3D2N stay at Park Hyatt Niseko, and it exceeded all our expectations. We were upgraded to a room with a stunning mountain view, which made our stay even more special. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and very well maintained despite the hotel having been around for a few years. The dining experiences were excellent. On the first night, we had dinner at the teppanyaki restaurant, where Chef Kaori was amazing. She was highly skilled, spoke excellent English, and made the meal both entertaining and delicious. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. On the second night, we dined at Robata, and our server, Kato-san, provided outstanding service. He was sincere, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The Adventure Centre next to the hotel offers a wide variety of activities. We tried the zip flight, and it was such an exciting and enjoyable experience. It's definitely something we would recommend. To make the stay even more magical, the hotel offered a complimentary Mountain Lights experience in the evening, followed by fireworks. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Park Hyatt Niseko team for creating such an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return!

The public areas are exceptionally well-designed, beautifully blending Park Hyatt's signature luxury with a Japanese onsen resort vibe. The overall atmosphere feels both sophisticated and relaxing. The breakfast and the selection of restaurants are much more extensive than at the neighboring Higashiyama Niseko Village, and the food itself tasted noticeably better. Service is also a major plus here. The welcome fruit wasn't just generic apples, pears, or bananas; they offered a plate of strawberries, which felt very thoughtful. Whether it was the Japanese staff, foreign staff, or the Chinese-speaking employees, everyone was consistently warm and natural. I was particularly impressed by a young woman in the restaurant department, who seemed to be from Henan, China. She was incredibly welcoming and friendly, making conversations very pleasant. Communicating with other foreign staff members in Japanese was also seamless; there was no need to force English, nor did we have to resort to translation apps like we did at Higashiyama Niseko Village. Finally, upon departure, since the hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus and we couldn't immediately find a taxi, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a complimentary business car to take us to the station, which was a huge bonus to the overall experience. The basic room type in the hotel building is a large suite with a double bathroom design, offering a high level of comfort. There are some drawbacks, however. As a hotel opened in 2020, there are already visible signs of wear and tear on some of the leather and fabric in the rooms, so the maintenance isn't perfectly pristine. The views are also significantly less impressive compared to Higashiyama Niseko Village, where you can see Mount Yotei directly from the lobby, rooms, and even the onsen. Additionally, this hotel has more rooms and also accommodates quite a few group tours, so even during the non-snow season, it's quite popular, making it less quiet overall than Higashiyama Niseko Village.
