Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B

We stayed for three nights and we wish it had been ten. We loved every moment of our stay in Kristi and Matt’s beautiful home. If you are visiting Bar Harbor/ Acadia you must stay here. Kristi is an amazing cook and breakfast (and her cookies) was yummy. If you are lucky enough to stay in the Acadia room, the shower is divine. And don’t forget a good book for a few hours in an Adirondack chair at the water’s edge. We look forward to a return visit.

We had a great week at Saltair Inn. The location and inn amenities were great. The breakfast was incredible each day. Matt, Kristi and Emily were wonderful and made us feel at home.

We’ve been to MDI many times and cannot think of a better place to stay than Saltair. Kristi & Matt treated us like old friends. We loved everything about the inn…fantastic breakfast, beautiful views, prime (yet quiet) location, and top notch hospitality. What a fabulous place to call home for a week!

The Inn is located at the perfect location walkable to downtown Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park is close by. The water & sand bar are viewable from the porch on the rocking chair. The yard is beautiful & inside the Inn is beautiful. We stayed in the Chart Room & were extremely comfortable for the three nights we were there. The breakfasts are so creative & wonderful. Kristi & Matt & family are wonderful hosts & very knowledgeable of the area. I can’t imagine a more relaxing peaceful place to stay. Can’t wait to return for another adventure. Thank you

WOW! I've never been so impressed and felt so taken care of. The cleanliness, room value, atmosphere, the location - it's all perfect. I feel profoundly lucky that during my wedding week I was welcomed with open arms by the owners and their family! We can't wait to come back and stay there again. Truly the gem of MDI.

Perfect spot for exploring Bar Harbor, Bar Island, and Acadia. Matt, Kristi and family were perfect hosts. The house is well kept and the breakfasts were a wonderful experience. The only driving we did was when we went to Acadia and even then, we could have taken the town shuttle bus.

We spent three days in June at the Inn, staying in the first floor room. The room was amazing. We loved the two fire places and the separate sitting area. The view of the water was so nice in the morning having our coffee. Matt and Kristi were great and knowledgeable hosts, giving us great restaurant tips and advice on navigating parking and Acadia National Park trails. The breakfasts were delicious and a great way to fuel up before the day. One added bonus was the discovery of the sandbar right outside of the Inn, which, at low tide, allows you to walk over to Bar Island. The location of the Inn was ideal for being able to easily walk into Bar Harbor. We are already planning our return trip. Thank you for the hospitality!
