Villa Nautica Paradise Island Resort

Truly lives up to its reputation as a classic five-star resort island; I was very satisfied with everything.

We booked a water villa, and the layout and functionality were incredibly convenient, with excellent service. We only had a few minor regrets: The water villa's private deck leads directly into coral, which is quite close to the surface, making serious snorkeling difficult. You can really only float around the steps to see the coral and fish, which is a bit of a mixed bag. The bathroom floor in the water villa becomes extremely slippery when wet; there were signs warning about it, but it was still hard to avoid. You can see the 'rubbish island' from the south side of the island (our water villa on the north side couldn't see it). If the wind blows from the south, you can smell burning trash on the island. However, the wind doesn't blow in the same direction all day, nor is it the same direction every day, so during our three-night stay, we only smelled burning trash intermittently on our first half-day. According to the restaurant staff, our assigned butler, Riya, is one of the best. However, communication might have been more efficient if we had WhatsApp to contact her; my phone only allowed WeChat, and her replies were occasionally delayed. Overall, for this price point, the resort service was excellent, and we were generally satisfied.

A. Family trip, two villas. One sunset deluxe beach pool villa, and one sunset beach pool villa. 1. The deluxe villa is very luxurious and new, with air conditioning in the bathroom, but it's far from the restaurant and relatively further from the beach compared to non-deluxe rooms. 2. The regular villa is next to the restaurant, very close to the main pool and the lobby. However, it's older than the deluxe villa and its bathroom doesn't have air conditioning. B. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Malé airport. C. We bought the full board package. The restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, which we really enjoyed. Juices and beverages are only available at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, you can only order à la carte; soft drinks are $5, juices are $10, plus an additional 27% service charge and tax. Haha... D. The excursions are too expensive, it really hurt my wallet (see picture). It's better to book them on a local island. E. You can snorkel near the overwater bungalows and the jetty, but there aren't many marine creatures, and the water quality is just average. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money. Next time, I definitely need to visit a local island, it's so much more economical... PS. It's best to download WhatsApp in advance. Our butler didn't really use WeChat and was often unreachable...

This is an excellent hotel! From the moment we arrived in Malé, someone greeted us, directed us where to wait, and then helped us with our luggage onto the boat. Upon reaching the hotel island, the staff gave us a warm welcome, and check-in was incredibly fast; they had already arranged our room. Our butler, Tola***, enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel, gave us a tour, and informed us about the various activities. We are so grateful for Tola***'s thoughtful service and arrangements! He also did a fantastic job organizing the birthday dinner with beautiful decorations, a cake, wine, and flowers 💐. He was very reliable, and we truly appreciate his help during this trip 👏. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. If you prefer a location close to Malé airport, accessible by boat, and want to enjoy the beautiful sea and stunning sunsets, this is your best choice!
