Villa Nautica Paradise Island Resort

This is an excellent hotel! From the moment we arrived in Malé, someone greeted us, directed us where to wait, and then helped us with our luggage onto the boat. Upon reaching the hotel island, the staff gave us a warm welcome, and check-in was incredibly fast; they had already arranged our room. Our butler, Tola***, enthusiastically introduced us to the hotel, gave us a tour, and informed us about the various activities. We are so grateful for Tola***'s thoughtful service and arrangements! He also did a fantastic job organizing the birthday dinner with beautiful decorations, a cake, wine, and flowers 💐. He was very reliable, and we truly appreciate his help during this trip 👏. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. If you prefer a location close to Malé airport, accessible by boat, and want to enjoy the beautiful sea and stunning sunsets, this is your best choice!

Here's my objective review: Pros: 1. The room was quite spacious. 2. The butler and reception staff provided good service (for the price point). 3. The pool was beautiful, especially in the evening. 4. You can see baby sharks while snorkeling. Cons: 1. The ocean view was just okay; it looked fine from a distance, but up close, the water was a bit dirty. 2. The hotel charged an outrageous $185 for the speedboat transfer (for a 20-minute ride). 3. The hotel didn't respond to emails. I contacted Trip.com, and they called the hotel, but the hotel still didn't respond. I wouldn't recommend booking last-minute. 4. The food was terrible. Apart from breakfast, no juice or beverages were provided.

In our opinion, this hotel feels a bit like a Turkish resort. Since we came here after staying at Tinadhoo, the differences were quite noticeable. The restaurant doesn't have a great view, but the variety of food is decent, and there's a kids' corner. Buggies transport guests around the island, which is very convenient and fun for children. What we didn't like is that because of this, there are a lot of concrete paths, so you can't walk barefoot. The service was a bit disappointing; it felt very mass-produced. They didn't respond about our transfer or contact us themselves, so we had to find their counter at the airport on our own and call the hotel. This was probably because we weren't arriving by plane. We also didn't receive a welcome bag, and the bed for the third person was only made up after we called reception. These are minor things, but you tend to notice them more at a resort. Overall, we liked our villa; it wasn't new, but everything was well-maintained. In front of our villa was a lagoon, and beyond that a breakwater, so there wasn't really an ocean view. However, thanks to the breakwater, the lagoon was very calm. There's a reef, but it's quite monotonous; the corals are brown and all look the same, and you can only swim over them at high tide. There are large fish and stingrays, so there's enough to see for a couple of days. Overall, it's not bad, but we definitely wouldn't return. It would probably be a good choice for families with children, though, due to its proximity to the airport and kid-friendly amenities.

The environment is beautiful, and the service is exceptional. Facilities are complete and thoughtfully provided. Everything is clean and tidy. Every staff member greets guests with a smile, making you feel incredibly warm and welcome.
