Marriott Jeju Shinhwa World Hotels & Resorts

The entire area is a resort with dining, entertainment, and shopping options. Marriott is one of three hotels here. Staying at the hotel includes tickets to Mythic World, and you can also get a discount on water park tickets. However, language can be a bit of a barrier as not many staff speak Chinese.

Stayed for two nights and absolutely loved the 1.2-meter indoor and outdoor pools. The resort as a whole is very clean, with plenty of places to explore like shops, an amusement park, and a convenience store – perfect for a relaxing family trip with kids. The room was a little noisy, though. Taxis are easy to find, but the bus stop was a bit hard to locate.

Pretty good, clean. Service: Plenty of dining options. Facilities are new. The Chinese restaurant is delicious. Lots of restaurants nearby and super close to the water park.

The hotel environment was just okay, to be honest. We were assigned a ground-floor room, and you could walk straight out to the outside from the balcony door, which meant privacy was a bit lacking. There were tons of tour groups every day, making check-in a slow process. On our second day, nothing in the room was replenished. I'm pretty sure they only vacuumed the floor and made the bed. Nothing else was wiped down; stains on the mirror and dust on the desk were still there after housekeeping. I had to disinfect and wipe the toilet seat myself, or you'd better bring your own toilet cover, otherwise, you'll find it's dirty even after a quick wipe. Breakfast options were very limited, not much to choose from. Some staff were friendly, but others seemed annoyed by Chinese tourists. Besides being close to the theme park and water park, I generally wouldn't recommend it.

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were all incredibly friendly. Many of them even spoke Chinese! The hotel has its own Shinhwa Shopping Street and a food street, plus they include tickets to the theme park. It's really convenient and perfect for families with kids.
