J Hotel Shanghai Tower

The room was great, and the view was fantastic, but the service professionalism was very subpar. From the moment we entered the lobby, no staff member proactively came to open the car door or help with our luggage. Once inside the lobby, no one approached us. Their attitude seemed quite sluggish, which led to my friend and I wandering around the lobby for about five or six minutes before someone finally came to ask if we were checking in. Then, during check-in, the front desk didn't inform us that our room included afternoon tea at the executive lounge, causing us to miss it that day. They did make it up to us the following afternoon, but it still messed up our original plans. All other services were fine, and they even offer in-room delivery for takeout. The hotel's cultural introduction was also interesting. Overall, a good review.

Shanghai is a romantic city, and the hotel's 101st-floor view of the Bund is breathtakingly beautiful. The fusion of Eastern and Western design allows you to experience both oriental culture and Western art. Every moment spent here is an absolute delight. The service from our butler, Eve Xiang, was subtle yet impeccable, always providing just the right amount of attention. Because of her, we are eager to return.

A delightful experience. The hotel's guide, Voltaic, was engaging and professional. His explanations of the design philosophy and the sharing of thoughtful details were captivating, even for the children in our group. What's truly remarkable is how the world seems to quiet down the moment you turn from the bustling street into the hotel entrance. The hotel cleverly avoids the main road's noise, creating a peaceful sanctuary. At night, you drift off to sleep in this tranquility, waking up to birdsong and the scent of flowers in the morning, completely oblivious to the city's hustle and bustle. The hotel's beauty lies in its details. It doesn't have the opulent grandeur of traditional luxury hotels; at first glance, it might even seem a bit minimalist. Yet, once you settle in, you discover how the light subtly shifts everywhere. The focus isn't on accumulating symbols, but on allowing guests to find peace within the space. Voltaic's guided tour truly brought this spatial aesthetic to life, perfectly embodying the hotel's 'luxury is personal' philosophy. If you're looking to escape the everyday and immerse yourself in beauty, this is an excellent choice. A special thank you to Voltaic for their dedicated service. I hope they can collaborate with Comico in the future and support this 30-year-old national brand.

There weren't enough staff on duty at night, and my takeout order took half an hour to arrive. I also had to wait a while for hot water in the shower, and no one showed me to my room or explained the facilities. The service definitely needs improvement. However, the facilities and decor were fine, and breakfast was good. Overall, I'd give it four stars.

Finally checked into the J Hotel, Shanghai Tower, the world's tallest hotel! The entire experience was perfect, and I especially recommend their newly launched 'Nightfall Ceremony' – it completely exceeded my expectations! My butler invited me to the observation area just in time for the 'blue hour'. The skyline transitioned from soft orange and pink to deep navy as the Nightfall Ceremony gently began, creating an incredibly atmospheric ambiance. Below, the winding Huangpu River, the Oriental Pearl Tower, and the Bund's historic buildings stretched out before me. Watching the lights along both banks slowly illuminate, as the entire city awakened beneath my feet, was a breathtaking sight that left me speechless. Our room offered stunning views, and the decor was filled with exquisite oriental jade aesthetics. The toiletries and bedding were top-notch, and Eve Xiang's service was both discreet and attentive. This exclusive 'Nightfall Ceremony in the Clouds' perfectly blends Shanghai's romance and luxury. You absolutely can't go wrong coming here; every photo turns out like a masterpiece. It's already been listed as my most unforgettable travel experience of the year!

Facilities: The toiletries are the biggest drawback and a minus point. For such a high-end hotel, the toiletries are from an unknown brand and very difficult to use. I thought since I was staying in such a luxurious hotel, I wouldn't need to bring my own shampoo and conditioner. But after using the J Hotel's conditioner, my hair felt like straw – I'm speechless. The disposable toothbrushes were also very low-end. It really doesn't match the hotel's standard and image. Cleanliness: It's okay. The room is quite dark, so it's hard to see if there are any overlooked dirty spots, but there were visible stains on the light-colored carpet. Lobby Bar Double Privilege: The small refreshments were decent, but the tea was just so-so. The good thing is you can take as much as you like. Environment: The only real highlight is the excellent high-rise view. You can watch the sunrise from the room and the sunset from the lobby. The Chinese restaurant on the 120th floor also offers sunrise views.
