The Stay Chaweng Beach Resort

The hotel is located in a busy area, right on a street filled with bars. The room was really small, it didn't even have a stool, much like a budget hotel in China. Its saving grace is the excellent location, with Chaweng Beach right behind the restaurant.

Let me start by saying that I'm not someone who easily leaves bad reviews, and I haven't encountered a hotel this bad in years. It was truly awful. The front desk service was terrible; the staff was cold and unhelpful, and no one offered to assist with my luggage. I even found an unknown object in my room, not sure what it was for, which suggests the cleaning was subpar. The kettle was incredibly dirty. The worst part, though, was during check-out the next morning. I was rushing to catch a flight, and they took forever to inspect the room. A heavier-set woman kept chasing after me, insisting I couldn't leave. After a while, another front desk staff member said it was all clear and I could go, but this woman still chased me, repeatedly saying 'No, no, no,' and blocking my way with a terrible attitude. I really don't understand what could possibly be missing from such a mediocre room. If it weren't for its proximity to a bar I wanted to visit, I would never have booked this 'four-star' hotel (which is far from deserving of that rating).
