Michie Hostel

Everything was great just make sure your phone is always charged because of the hotel key pass on your phone. My mom passed away and i had bo

The ceiling fan only works when the light is on, and it's loud. It's very humid and hot in rooms so bring your own fan. I didn't use the kitchen or the common room but the bathroom was well maintained. Locks on each door with codes but the rest of the door looked like it could be easily pushed in. It did well as a bed and a place to stay, just not completely comfortable.

Room was unbelievably hot with no working AC, overhead fan, or window to open to bring it down to a comfortable temperature. Cracks in my private room’s walls, could hear and SEE people clearly shuffling around in the kitchen / common room through cracks. Left and booked with Hilton instead. Getting my money back through Michie had been impossible despite not staying for any of my trip! Could have worked for someone else but not for me!

Stephani an the staff at Michie have been polite. An understanding about people's needs. An when i need something at my room they take care of it..

I liked how easy it was and the privacy and how its like a dorm and you can't beat the price and the owners worked with me. I was going to stay another night if I could

Very affordable, not the nicest but more than good enough for the price. Stefano (Michie team member) was very helpful and prompt whenever I reached out. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for affordable stay.

The best I can say is the building has a lot of character and interesting custom artwork on the premises. The bedsheets seemed adequately clean.

I wouldn't reccomend staying here as a female solo traveler or couple. Although most things are fairly similar to the pictures, it is true that you need to read reviews carefully and know what to look for. There were strange sounds coming from some of the rooms that were somewhat concerning. The lock on the door to our room was not secure. The bathrooms were very well out of shape and provided little to zero privacy. If you plan to shower, bring a bathing suit as there is no curtain with a see-through glass door the second you walk into the bathroom. The kitchen was not well maintained, and looked as though it had not been cleaned in a long time. The cherry on top of the experience was that although there were no bedbugs, it was apperant the sheets had not been changed since the last guests with hair and old skin in the bed. I have to say that my partner and I arrived late in the night, and left as early as we could. Spend the extra $30 to pay for safety and clealiness.

I appreciated the staff, I was able to check in early. The room was great. It was clean and very interesting. Location was fantastic, minutes from downtown. The people that stay there were respectful and polite. The place is quite and comfortable.
