Basic in terms of facilities but wins with service. I have to really thank the front desk staff (sorry I didn’t get the name of the staff) who helped arrange transport for a very tight traveling schedule. If not for him I am sure I would have missed the train. Rooms are basic, old fashioned even, but clean so that was good enough.

From JR station walk around 10-15 mins at night is also safe to walk. And take around 15 mins walk from the hotel to the terminal which is near also. The room is clean and fit just one thing about the charges seems not workable.

quite dated hotel, a lot of things are quite old/dated/worn, location is ok, <10min walk from station, convenience stores nearby, 10min walk to the ferry and eating places. mostly clean and neat, amenities available. for price, not bad. walls are quite thin, so you hear next door noises. Shower water temp tends to be slightly not too stable. no electric outlets near bed, not convenient

Hotel is quite close to JR with a number of restaurant. The hotel survived through the 311 earthquake and provide clear instructions for evacuation. The staff is nice.

The rooms are spacious, supposedly the best hotel in the area, but it's a bit dark outside the convenience store at night, so it's best to go out in groups. The downside is that WeChat Pay and Alipay aren't yet available, which is slightly inconvenient.

I often stay at this inn, and it's a great place to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend it (^-^)

Breakfast was disappointing. The main course was potato dishes (German potatoes and two types of meat and potato stew) cooked in a different way. The miso soup was lukewarm, with Sendai red miso and sasakama (rice crackers), a local specialty? Other than that, there was commercial bacon, scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, and the only pickled vegetable was a cabbage core. The fruit was a single slice of orange, and the apple juice was? % fruit juice. The food was lined up from the entrance, with side plates lined up at the back, creating a confusing flow of food. The drink counter was also inconvenient, with coffee next to the entrance and juice and water along the far wall. The second day was New Year's, so small bowls of osechi (New Year's food) (datemaki, red and white kamaboko, black beans, namasu, etc.) were served instead of the meat and potato stew, but German potatoes were still served (it would be one thing if it was a local specialty, but this was too embarrassing). There was also ozoni, but while they used to provide rice cakes, this year they had turned them into imitation rice cakes so big you couldn't pick them up with the tip of your little finger. Moreover, the plate explaining the dishes was still the same as yesterday's miso soup made with Sendai red miso (it was actually made to look like a clear soup). There were also other dishes that were still using the same plates that hadn't been changed since yesterday. The quality and content of the food showed no pride at all in what they were providing.

The location is very good, within walking distance of Ishinomaki Station. There is a convenience store nearby, which is convenient. There are also many restaurants nearby.

Has the breakfast system changed? When I stayed in March, there was a free breakfast buffet.
