Fauno Urban Resort

The house is very close to the racecourse. However, this suite is incredibly awful. It's an attic suite on the top floor. We paid the regular price for a cramped attic. The floor was very dusty, and on the first night, both the bathroom drain and the sink were clogged. There were an insane number of mosquitoes. There's no elevator to the third floor, where the suite is! (You can only take the elevator to the second floor, then climb one more flight of stairs). Overall, a very bad experience. Avoid this place. There are mosquitoes at night, and if you open the attic window, many large animals crawl in, which is terrifying, as shown in the pictures. For a hotel in Italy, there's no coffee machine in the room, only instant coffee. Very bad suite, very bad!!!!!! Don't come here!!!!!

The room was relatively spacious, and the environment felt quite close to nature, almost like a courtyard. However, the hotel facilities are a bit old. There were also many birds that pooped all over the balcony, getting our clothes dirty.

Location: It's a detached, quiet little courtyard (the courtyard has cobblestone paths, which make it a bit difficult to drag suitcases). It is very, very close to the metro station, just three stops from the train station (if you need to catch an early morning train, taking the metro is strongly recommended as it's hard to get a taxi in the morning—I tried booking four or five and they all got cancelled). There's a supermarket within 300 meters, making it very convenient to buy water, and the nearby restaurants are quite good—I recommend numa. Facilities: Disposable slippers and various toiletries are provided, though no toothbrushes. Aside from the shower water pressure being a bit weak and the drainage being very slow, everything else was great. Service: Luggage storage is available (though luggage is simply placed in a corner of the front desk area, so it's best to lock your bags yourself). The young female and male staff at the front desk were all very friendly. Breakfast: Absolutely hearty! It starts at 7:30 AM, and I felt it was much better than eating out. I still miss this hotel's breakfast back in Florence.

A wonderful hotel, a 10-minute walk from the Colosseum and a 1-2-minute metro ride away. Restaurants, cafes, and a seafood restaurant are around the corner. Parking is available on site, but there's a fee. Continental breakfast. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We had room 5, which had a separate entrance. It's quiet and overlooks the courtyard. There's a swimming pool in the courtyard, open seasonally. Towels, a hairdryer, slippers, and toiletries are all provided!
