Prime Hotel Wangfujing

The room was quite spacious, and booking a twin room with 1.35m beds was convenient for us with two kids. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very attentive and friendly. We returned from sightseeing on the first day to find a fresh fruit platter, and there was plenty of drinking water. The location is excellent, with all sorts of food options within walking distance. The Line 8 subway entrance is just a few meters across the street, which is extremely convenient. Highly recommended! After exploring for two days, we found that taking the subway one stop to Jinyu Hutong or walking all the way to the Imperial Ancestral Temple and Forbidden City was even faster than taking a taxi. The only thing I feel could be improved is the revolving door at the hotel entrance; the perfume scent was way too strong, giving it a very Southeast Asian feel. My child even said it made them feel a bit nauseous.

Overall, I was satisfied. The breakfast was plentiful and the service was good. The room had good soundproofing, was clean and quiet, and the air conditioning worked well with fresh air. The hotel facilities are relatively new. The towels were a bit basic and didn't quite meet the standard of a five-star hotel. The front desk and luggage storage department were very conscientious and responsible, thumbs up! I was a bit confused because before booking, I saw pictures of the room with a small teahouse-like area with a separate long table, tea set, and chairs. However, when I checked in, I found that area was blocked off by a screen, which made the room feel particularly small, especially the family room. I wonder why? Also, the front desk charged a 1000 RMB deposit directly upon check-in, which made me feel a bit untrusted. Additionally, the sliding door for the bathtub and shower only covered half the area, which felt quite inconvenient in such a small room. I personally think the screen should have been used more appropriately.

The hotel's location was really suitable for our trip, with shared bikes right outside and easy access to ride-hailing services. We stayed for three nights, and since we arrived late and the hotel was full, they kindly upgraded us to a higher floor room for free, which was very thoughtful and considerate. The upgraded room had excellent natural light. The service was very warm, and they even kindly let me take a picture of the Wi-Fi account and password for my records. This was our first time traveling to Beijing, and the experience was quite good. The only minor drawbacks were that the hairdryer was a bit heavy, which isn't ideal for long hair. Also, the vanity counter was a bit small, making it difficult to set out cosmetics. I really want to commend the housekeeping staff for their attention to detail; on the second day, they folded all our clothes so neatly! Five stars!

First time staying here and I had a really great experience. The location is excellent, with convenient transportation. The hotel's overall decor is elegant and refined. It was a very pleasant stay, and I'll definitely be back. My only suggestion would be for a more varied breakfast. Wishing you all the best!

The Overseas Chinese Hotel, once one of Beijing's 'Top Ten Buildings,' underwent a renovation in 2021 and has been completely transformed. It's now elegant and sophisticated, with numerous artworks displayed in the lobby and public areas. I stayed here last year and was very impressed, so I chose to return for an exhibition at the art museum this time. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive, meeting my needs by upgrading my room and even offering a gift. From the moment I checked in, I felt a warm welcome. The heated pool isn't huge, but it's clean and uncrowded, making for a very pleasant swim. The hotel's location was also convenient for getting to Workers' Stadium for a game in the evening. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

No bellhop to help with luggage when we arrived. The front desk staff at check-in weren't particularly friendly. The room was smaller than expected. However, the floor attendant was very polite and did a thorough job cleaning. The front desk service at check-out was also subpar. As we walked out, we saw the bellhop sleeping, and as soon as he saw us, he pretended to still be asleep. The only positive is its proximity to the subway station.

Excellent location, very close to Exit 8 of China Art Museum Station on Line 8. The breakfast was rich and quite tasty. Lunch at the restaurant on the first floor was also reasonably priced, and the pancakes were delicious! The staff's service attitude was also very good. Overall, a great stay! 👍
