I loved the balcony view especially early in the morning. So relaxing while drinking hot tea. The staff are also very helpful. We had free snacks every afternoon. The breakfast meal is suitable to non chinese taste and has plenty of options. They also gave us a free gift after check out. The price was worth it.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Xitang river hotel. The view from the hotel is really nice and great location beside the river and West street. Breakfast was good for a small boutique hotel. Reception was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. We needed help to book the bamboo rafting experience and they advised on booking the Jima route via Wechat the night before. They let us use their hotel mobile number to complete the booking too (we didn't have a China mobile number). If I have to nitpick, the room we stayed at was quite small and shower wasn't the most clean on the first day we arrived. The corridor carpet is also due for a refresh soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were nice. Perfect location—a view of the mountains and close to West Street. Breakfast was very tasty, and light refreshments were served between 2 and 6 p.m.; we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the beautiful view. We had the chance to dress up in costumes, and at the end we even received a gift.

The best hotel we stayed at during this trip. The service is the best, staff is very kind. The breakfast is something to look forward to in the morning, plenty of options and all delicious. I loved the complimentary afternoon tea and the gift they gave us on departure. The rooftop is also very pleasant to spend some time looking at the river. The position is good, very central but still very quiet. Would highly recommended it.

The views at Xitag River View Hotel were to die for! 🌅 The river and mountain scenery from the hotel made the entire stay feel special. The rooftop pool and café were amazing, the perfect spots to relax and take in the views. The hotel staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The location was another huge plus. Being just the right distance from West Street meant we could easily walk over and enjoy the restaurants, shops and atmosphere, while still having a peaceful place to come back to. Beautiful views, great facilities, fantastic service and a perfect location, highly recommended!

1. The room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a great view of the river, but privacy can be a bit of an issue at night as the panoramic elevator allows people to see directly into the room. During the day, though, the glass reflection mostly prevents this. 2. The breakfast leaned more towards Western options and was sufficient. There were so many foreigners during breakfast that I almost felt like I was abroad. 3. The downstairs pool is fantastic. It's shaded in the afternoon, making it very comfortable for swimming, though I couldn't use it because of a leg injury. 4. Having a dedicated parking lot on the ground floor by the river is extremely convenient. 5. One minor criticism: many of the electrical outlets in the room weren't working properly.

We stayed for 3 nights and the hotel is in a great location and the afternoon tea was very nice also. However we had a WiFi issue with our room, we reported on the second day and they told us to try reconnecting the TV wires with a bit of attitude and then we reported again on the last day still not being resolved. Not sure if the service was we paid actually worth it!
